IRIE Products

I just finished installing mine. Still need to adjust the endpoints a bit more. But works great.

Always out playing or testing and finally broke down a purchased a GoPro 2 weeks ago for doing videos. This is the first video I have done with it other than taking videos of my sons. So Irie products can take good videos now or at least quality footage.:ror: Let me know what you think.

Re: IRIE Products Twin Hammer Steering & Axles

Cheers leif, got my parts yesterday.... Steering crank is awesome! (Even if I do lose about 2* of turn) it's positive hold eliminated all the slop and the th went straight even when on gravel!
Reduced the droop of my 85mm shocks to 80mm, for the axles/Cvds and HD cups you sent. (No fine rubbing and it's a firm fit even at full droop) that losi servo horn is just what the doctor ordered!!!!

I also installed a vaterra front diff lock (instead of an aluminium one off eBay which almost spun on the pin)

All up gave me a new car with a stable grip on terra firma and (hopefully) an breakable front end.

You can grind a little on the GCM plate and get that back if you would like, that is just the best I could get without lowering the steering arms and causing bumpsteer.

Glad to hear

The steering system is freaking awesome. I am running a savox high speed servo (forgot the type) and the precision with this system is great.

To be fair, it took me a long while to set it up properly. That's my fault because I didn't use the stock ball cups or balls so all of the lengths needed to be worked out. This is the best mod you can get for your TH, bar none. Second is anti squat rear Russ from GCM.

The ball bearings on the bell cranks are the ticket. All in, the improved steering really helps the control in every type of terrain, there is simply no trade off with this addition. Well done Sr.Irie!!!

EDIT

NOTE that you should position the servo horn so that the vehicle tracks straight when the servo horn is in its full vertical orientation. If you set up the steering to operate with the steering servo horn at an angle you will not have consistent steering between left and right since the geometry will change. I realized that after I had everything set up and I wasn't getting full steering on the right side because the steering servo horn was completely horizontal and couldn't "push" anymore to get more steering. I saw a post where someone was using the horn at an angle and didn't report problems, but I had to make sure mine was perfect. Now it is!

Re: IRIE Products Twin Hammer Steering & Axles

I could do, if I felt like pulling it all apart and setting it up again... But I reckon the best I could gain is 5* and almost not worth it at the moment.... Maybe when I pull it apart for some of my other mods that are coming next

Re: IRIE Products Twin Hammer Steering & Axles

Just a quick shout out to irie products..

I hammered the twin hammers the other day... And for the first time, I did not break anything (other than bent panels and cracked chassis)... And I went harder than I ever have before. Steering shows no signs of wear proved itself strong and reliable.... And the Cvds look as good as the day I opened the packet.
Very happy!!!

I thought of that as I was installing mine but CVD limitations occur before steering hits the bottom of the plate anyway so, no point in grinding

Do you have an ETA??? I just busted mine today at the diff end. Is this the common breaking point on stock? Can you send me a pm please?
