How to: Building custom width Twin/Mad Force axle

Cause - the last post before yours - 2011!

I think Axial came on so strong everyone forgot about Force stuff.

Heres some tech to add. Looks like based on some dimensions, Yeti XL knuckles will bolt onto the axle C of the mad force axles. In the below crude pic the A dimension is 29mm for these and B is 39mm. Looks like the inside of the C is 29.7mm and the outside is 37.8mm. This will allow the use of the Yeti XL front CVD shafts in the mad force axles. You cant run them with the mad force knuckles as the inside bearing is 21x15x4. The inner part of the CVD is 123mm, so a bit longer than a stock inner axle. But can be cut and modified as needed.

I have some Yeti XL knuckles ordered, should be here mid week next week and I will take some pics of them then to confirm all of this is true.

I'm with you on that one.
I bought some 1/5 scale RC4WD Toyota axle of a 1/6 scale build and the diffs inside are junk. I sent them back to get my $500 back.
so here is what I working with until Super Shafty gets geared up with the rear long rear lock outs and then I will be using a lot of his parts.

This is a builds so nothing is adjusted yet.
I'm with you rc4wd stuff isn't much for strength and supershafty needs to restock their mad force stuff. I got a couple builds needing parts. I may make my own if nothing else.
