is there not enough travel to run a panhard bar?
Yes, the motor seems to be the perfect size. Seemed a bit big when it was in your hand.
Good to see it placed in the rig for context.
Josh have you thought of running the servo mount that mounts on the inside of the upper link mount?

What are you referring to Colby?
Are you talking about running some sort of bell crank steering? I have thought about that but would rather avoid the complexity. Beyond that I don't really know how or where else I could stash this servo, this was about my only option up front.
After taking a look at the motor I started looking into link, axle and servo placement. I knew it would be tight, but it actually came together pretty easily.
I bent the links to create a cradle around the motor.
I plan on laying the servo down like this. I will try and hide it as best I can when it is finished up. LIkely a wrap to camo it and then throw a radiator on top of it.
This shows the relative position of the components. The headers are going to be fun. I'm planning on using a technique I saw on How It's Made with freezing water inside of brass tubes to stop them from kinking during bending.
Most of the transmission will have to be removed to fit the actual transmission. I'll try and keep as much of the bell housing as I can.
I think he is talking about:
Front driveshaft clearance ok?
Yup! I will likely have to go to a "remote oil filter"... meaning it will be in a box somewhere :ror: but other than that it looks like it will clear the links and the motor.
That's the problem with scale engines. I'm having all the same issues as you on my project ;-)
Not impressed until you put the motor inside the motor...
