Harley's LS Hero Rock Bouncer

Speaking of the "motor"...

I picked up a MONOGRAM 1/8 SCALE motor off ebay to use as a base. It is an 80's crossfire injection motor and not a LS based motor but I couldn't source a LS motor in this scale. I plan to use this as a base to model a LS-ish mill and want squeeze it up front. I'll attempt to make some headers and such.

Welcome to the rock bouncer world Harley....

I'm sure it will be fun.

I'll have a chassis update tonight. I've almost got all the joints TIG'd but still need to do the clean up on them. I would really like to make some mock up links tonight but we'll see. I've got to go do some MTB'ing with some coworkers in the morning and should probably be rested :ror:

Ls1 . Made me think ramjet 350.

I think 748 watts is 1hp.

What do these Tim Cameron style 1:1 rock bouncers weigh?

Really don't know why the ls in Harleys title made me think ramjet.
Both ls1 and ramjet produce about 350hp. Ramjet makes a little more tourge. Both are common crate motors in rock crawlers. Both may be considered under pwerd in these new age rock bouncers. Both can produce well over 350 HP
Specialty if money is no issue. But here we get into rat motors that put out big numbers

I was just wondering because a ramjet in not a LS motor. "thumbsup"

Harley, what program do you use for your logo/graphic work?

I use a ton of different programs. The logo on the front page I did by drawing the rock bouncer in CAD. Then converted that over to Illustrator and went over to Freq E Tags house and did the colorizing and text. He's a master at Illustrator, I can work my way through it but he is FAST.

Some of my other work is done in various Mac software packages for convenience.

Not really sure why you're so worried about what ESC to use, all you really need for an ESC in a rockbouncer is a 3 way toggle switch and a small servo to switch it.

Lol. Might even do like a Heli ESC and set it gov mode flip the toggle and your screaming over the rocks

Digging the crossfire

RX8 and brushless is so unscale... You don't need all of that.

It sure brings a smile to my face when I run "Show"...

As far as tires go, I am liking my r35 ripsaws and r35 BFG KRAWLERS quite well. I think Ripsaws are more consistent when wheel speed is applied though."thumbsup"
