whats the cab width harley?
also really anxious to see and glad your going brushed.
I'll probably run the stock Axial foams which are SUPER soft. With the stiff tires + a 10lb rig + very little foam support that should equal a tire that will squat decently when it hits a rock but stands up when spinning.
All theory at this point...
what??
its not up to page 5 yet..
:lmao:
maybe itl be page seven ounce the scale horsepower figure is figured out.
not sure but I think 75 is 1/8 of 600???
by the name of Harleys thread im thinking ramjet 350 as the 1:1 power plant so maybe if mildly built were in 300-450 power range wich would reduce wattage number. ill call it 400 horse be back with wattage number
coming up with 50hp. they way I see it is is he cant be over powered and be in scale type power.
more then likely he wont run a 1/8 scale motor so will be inside 3hp
But this rig was only running around 500 HP from what I've seen.
Power to weight speaking, I'm hoping to be close to the correct ratio when its all said and done.
Your right about his hp range I was just givin you a hard time about the 1000 hp deal back when I was getting parts together for the 1:1 I almost built ( long story ) I was looking at building a f2r procharged 460 ford I had everything but the efi and had to part it out to pay bills and get me out the hole I dug while on wc. It would have easily pushed 1000. The main point is build it how you feel you need to build to make you happy and comfortable on the trails.

RX8 and brushless is so unscale... You don't need all of that.
and for the record, this buggy in real life is driven by Trenton Parks, not Tim Cameron. Its built on a budget. it ran a 6.0 LS that is actually under going an engine overhaul and will be a stroked 6.0LS.
to be SCALE... a 2 speed is required. These buggies mostly run in 2nd gear when they are slingin shit. That's why you see Tim Cameron or other guys walk up something the first couple of times before they hit it. 1st gear to see how it reacts, back up far enough to throw it into 2nd and release the horse power.
Throw something in there and see what happens. I personally like brushed better because you can always rebuild it or just swap something else right in. Keep up the good work Josh "thumbsup"
