GT3B Hack kit- Pre-order

Ok i can handle 25 pre-orders, i'm currently at 13. Price will jump 1.50 after 15 orders have been filled. Final Price will be 25-27.50. Next batch or parts i order i'll try and lower the price back down a few $'s, but can't make a guarantee.

But the problem is, if you was to go buy all the parts minus the extension, it only cost about $20. The extension can't be bought...well maybe but i couldn't find one so i'm building them. I may bump the price to 30, but i don't think it'll sell well for more than that,
That could be said for allot of things.. People could go buy all the tools, materials, and knowledge to build anything.. But most prefer to pay a little more to get everything in one spot and know the items work as assembled..

Yea, but i'll never mark anything up more than whats needed...$10 markup is plenty for 30 minutes of time

Good man.. Pricing on this is why I sent you my money in the first place :D

Ditto on the pricing. When I first read about these types of modifications on RCTECH I was over my head with how to make any of it work, between locating pieces and figuring out software.

And here you have a pre-engineered kit for a very reasonable price. Thank you for offering this, and I think it will become very popular amount GT3B users.

YoU really can't beat a 6ch radio for 65 dollars. Can't wait to mod mine, I am loving it so far on all my 2 CH stuff. And for what I can sell one spektrum rx for I can buy 4 gt3b receivers

I don't know why, but mouser upgraded my order to 2nd day air for free so i should be shipping by wednesday, instead of next monday.

That is a nice surprise cant wait to plug it in, program, and try 4WS/CRAB and Dig on my LCC.

Ok so will it work on my shafty with a dig?
It needs 3pos. for me left is 4wd, center is freewheel, and right is rear lock. Can it return or stay all the way to the left? To stay locked in 4wd?

I dont mind using the buttons already there, fine with me but I want to make sure it will work for my app. From what im reading you tested with MOA and center is 4wd.

Yes it will work just fine. Just use a function other than momentary, and use a 100% step rate. Even though the switch doesn't stay in position the channel does. and a click will + or - your step rate from the channel position. I don't know all the radios like this, but the dx3e operates the same way in 3 p mode.

I'm unsure what your asking. All firmware updates can programmed to your radio or you can program back to a old firmware. I don't see the current functionality of the switches going away.

Do we have to buy it from you? Do you just email them... or do you have to send out another programmed board.

Like if there is something not right in this version? and we need to reupdate.

Sorry have not read up on rctech, if this has been answered there.

I'm not selling the firmware, its free to share.

All you do is download the latest revision of the firmware, plug in the stm8s programmer, open the new firmware, plug in the radio, push program...wait till it says programming complete, unplug everything, and re setup models, and have fun.

Oh and that buggy behavior i mentioned earlier should be fixed, i need to test the firmware make sure that it is before he releases it, but i'm sure it'll work just fine.

Just ordered the radio and a couple of 6 channel receivers. Also placed the Pre-order for your kit. (cleaned you out of Uberbrites while I was at it)

Where do we download the firmware from?

Ok all pre-orders are going out today...the gt3b combo i offered up isn't shipping yet though. Will ship in the next few days.

Depending how the next few days go i'll try and get install instructions up as you guys start to get them, but my birthday is the 29th, as far as i know no plans but...
