GT3B Hack kit- Pre-order

so if i have the 3rd channel mapped to the d/r button will i have to hold the button for dig or will it work like my dx3e where i push it up for dig then have to push down one time to go back to 4wd

I know it can be setup so it has to be held in place,

I'll experiment with the other functions and let you know...

Ok so tinkering with the 3 pos theres 5 options.

*Momentary:
-have to hold itit in postion, uses center and endpoints

*No long keys
-If holding key, won't do funny stuff. Step rate can be set so you can click, click, click and it will move x% according to step rate. If 100% step rate, it'll act just like a dx3e. Also it can be programmed if switch/button click oppositely it'll return to 0, handy if your using a small step rate like 10.

*Auto repeat on
-If you hold the button, it will quickly go through its step rate...so linear channel is easily possible, mostly designed for trim though, also it can be programmed for oppisite click reset.

*Long press reset
-Will click with step rate, if click is held (long click) it will return to center. Can have oppistie click reset

*Long Pres End points
-Will go along with step rate, but a long click will go to end points...accoring to its direction. Oppistie click reset can be used. I think this feature would be handy with rear steer, as you can slowly turn your tire on way or the other, instanly go back to center, or go from side to side quickly.

All the features except momentary act much like the dx3e. One click or the other will go +/- its step rate. Now oppistie clicks and long keys can mess with that, but...those are to help. Mom will require it to be held in place. Let goit goes to center, hold it its at the endpoints.

Hope this helps, i'll describe all this alot better when i write my manual. (it'll be detailed, but may be a little while before i finish it...) Still haven't experimented with mixing features yet, as i can't figure out how to download the v2 firmware

I promise vids though early next week.

Oh still need afew more orders. Once i reach 8 i'll give a 24 hr grace period for more before i place an order,

Alright i managed to get a uncorrupted file of the v2 firmware (for some reason its not downloading correctly from its code sharing site)

Anyways, i'll be doing some mixing testing and report back with some results, vids not till early next week though.

Ok so dual esc mixing should act exactly like the operations below, but instead of moving a channel, you are siply adjusting the mix rate

0% is perfect mix -100% is rear esc only 100% is front esc only

Between as you gain percents you are slowing down that esc. So the -%'s slow down the rear and the +%'s slow down the front

Make sense? I haven't tested this yet, but this is how the manual says it works.

So dual esc works just fine. What i have setup is the ch 3 trim switch is set to momentary so i have instant dig. And then i set the d/r to control proportional, w/ a 20% step rate. I ran a pack through my crawler this way and all seemed good. I'm not used to running proportional and dig this way so my reflex weren't great. But after afew packs my fingers will figure out the new movements.

I'm gonna start playing with 6 channel now  ... I'll also put another gt3b on order so i can make some install instructions while these kits are shipping to you. I still need afew more pre-orders though

Hey guys, if anyone wants a gt3b already modded. I've got one here i'll included with a pre-order for another $45

Ok guys i have 15 on the way, 8 are already spoken for. So 7 left. Price gets bumped up $1.50 once i have stock.

I'm really looking forward to taking advantage of all the computing power this cheap radio has to offer. Hopefully my not-quite-computer-literate self can set it up alright.

Ok, so pre-orders may be delayed afew days, the company i found that i wanted to use to order the programmers from just slapped me across me the face...i guess the government isn't allowing them to sell to individuals, only other corporations...so they just lost my $250 order, and all future orders (i'm sure there will be many :ror:) So i'm going to do abit of shopping and see if i can find another programmer thats priced cheaper than what i can get elsewhere, But chances are the price will go up $1 or so next batch. All pre-orders are still 22 each plus ship.

Sorry,

Ok so i have some quantity qoutes going out to a few places, i should order parts tomorrow or friday morning. So they should be shipping by next friday. Sorry if this causes any problems.

That sucks about the first order but atleast you have found more places to get the parts and cant wait to get the stuff to try it out on my gt3b

Yea, it does. And because of it i'm going have to order in quite abit to keep the price at $25. My programmer price jumped $2 and the 4 wire extensions have jumped about $2 from what i originally price my kit for.

I could always cut costs for un quality products, but i'm not going to do that over afew $$$.

So i'm highly considering just ordering in enough programmers for 25 kits. But right now thats gonna put me in the red.

I don't see a problem with you getting $40.00 for a kit once the first batch is out and people are buzzing about a 6 channel pistol grip radio for well under a hundred dollars. I think this should sell very well for you. Your first customers will be your advertisement

But the problem is, if you was to go buy all the parts minus the extension, it only cost about $20. The extension can't be bought...well maybe but i couldn't find one so i'm building them. I may bump the price to 30, but i don't think it'll sell well for more than that,
