Godfather Scale Challenge - 2012 January-June Series

Hi Scott, there are no fees to run the course! Just lots of fun. if you dont have time to make up a tow strap i am sure someone has a extra one!! I know i do so look me up when you get there Saturday!!

So what's the difference between the Godfather group and the Idaho Rock Mafia?

I might be speaking out of turn, but the Godfather Challenge is the name of the Compitition. The Idaho Rock Mafia is the group of guys that run together.

You got it right, Vance. We named it the Godfather Scale Challenge just so people would differentiate it from rock crawling. We're all part of Rock Mafia.

YA Scott, it was fun!! It was nice to meet you in person and really cant wait to do another run!! I am a little sore this morning!!

Scott they will have them posted on Zno-rc.com sometime early next week. Takes a few days to go thru and post them up.

Thanks everyone for coming out and competeing over the weekend. We all had a blast and will definately be going back to that location in the future. The scores are all up on ZNO-RC.com in the events section.

We are now setting up for the next scale event which will be a Tough Truck Challenge Day here at our shop in Letha. We will be doing a show and shine as part of the event so make sure you polish up your rigs before you come out but don't worry we will promptly get them dirty after the scoring of the show and shine. "thumbsup"

We will have more details up soon. Looking forward to seeing everyone out here.

was wanting to build a class 21.9 rig. the rules stat that I can run a truggy rear if I cut the frame rials right behind a stock cab. my concern is that I would like to do more of a koh rig. was wondering if you would allow a rig like that instead of a truggy. if I go by the rules of the frame and cab width could I build something like that for a class two rig. or will I just be stuck in the class 3 rules with a koh rig

Here are a list of our rules we run with the GSC.

http://www.zno-rc.com/store/docs/Godfather-Scale-Series-Rules.pdf

We don't actually run different classes in the 1.9 class. All 1.9s are just 1.9 the only thing we specify is that we would like to see rigs that you would actually see on the trail. For 1.9 it is more of the highly modified but could still be street legal (ish...). If the rig starts looking beyond that style we would like it to be a 2.2 class. Under 2.2 anything goes: full tube chassis, rear steering, dig, monster tires, crazy width outside of the fenders, etc. 1.9 is definately more of a streetable class though.

well that put me out of the 1.9's. was hoping if I stayed with a scx10 fram, then done a build from their. I was looking it to building mor of a KOH rig with 1.9's. the 2.2 boggers I have looked kinda funny with the last tuber I did. just looked alittle big to me.

big in the tuff truck comp. any thing goes right"thumbsup"

thinking of a build like this maybey. use a scx10 roller, and build from that. would it be allowed? making my own molds to do the body hood/fenders. don't want to go all out and not have it legal for 1.9

So for the tough truck comp we will be doing scale points and rules just like normal the only thing is the scoring will be a little different since it wont be based primarily off of time but instead alot on placement. However the rules we run normally will still be in effect for this comp since it will still be part of the series.

This would classify as a highly modified 1.9 since it has a hood and fenders and you might see it on the highway.
