Godfather Scale Challenge - 2012 January-June Series

Dang, unfortunately I'm out. I just got my jeep all back together and was doing a test run in the shop and the front servo went out.

Not having the best luck with these JR 8711's this is the second time I'll have to send it in for repair.

Anyone have a battery sugestion? I have no idea how long the courses are since ive never been out to a scale comp yet.... I have 1600, 2000, 2200 mah 2s or 1000 mah & a mystory 3s thats about double the size. Was thinking of using the 3s batteries........... & my sidewinder is set to 3s
Any thoughts?

We are still very new to this stuff, but we did visit with Dean, he said our 5500 lipo would be enough to get us thru this course. We are bringing our charger if needed.

Agama, thats a bummer, but i bet Zno will have one for sale out at the comp! Quick change out??

I'm bummed that I missed this. Have to get the rigs ready for the next one!

Let's see some pics."thumbsup"

Wow what an awesome day guys. Unfortunately we weren't quite organized enough to do the team course like we wanted to but still overall a great day.

Thanks to everyone for coming out and running with us. I think that was the most people we have ever had compete at one time even with those that couldn't make it out today. We are definately looking forward to the next comp "thumbsup" The scores should be visible on the site in the Events Section in the next few days.

Im supprised that you broke both concidering that the one was a RC4WD & suposidly stronger than stock.

Even more supprised that I did so well for my first time out concidering I had so much stacked agenst me. (forgot my shoes & had to do the whole comp in slippers:oops:, radio settings were way off & had to stop & make adjustments in the midle of the first corse, etc, etc, etc.)

only good action shot I got of the day

that was a fun comp! i look forward to the next one"thumbsup"

I may not be able to make any more of the comps. Wife just got a second job & will be working weekends. That means I will be watching my daughter all day every day.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the last minute location notification for march but the location we have chosen is at the end of Warm Springs Rd right next to the Gowen Rd Bridge. There is a dirt lot before you get to the bridge on Warm Springs and that is where we will be. We will have the Trailer set up and the Signs by the road. I'm expecting a large turnout from the group that has mentioned interest so try to be there early. All the details are on the first page of this thread with times and events that are scheduled.

2.2 will be running on its own time slot and 1.9 will be running on its own time slot so we can have those of you that have both class of vehicle can run both classes. The Classes will overlap in the middle of the day for the Tough Truck Challenges but that will be all they run together.

If you have any questions at all on any part of this competition or location dont hesitate to call us at ZNO-RC or email us.

Phone# 365-5772 Mon-Fri 8:30-6
Email - sales@zno-rc.com

Look forward to seeing everyone out there!! "thumbsup"

Here are the Latitude and Longitude Coordinates for the Scale Comp this weekend since my instructions might be a little confusing.

W 116° 5' 48.6322"

Hey it's been awhile since I have participated in anything. I was looking at coming down to this weekends comp with my 1.9. I just wanted to know if there were any fees and if so how much? I look forward to trying to get out this weekend. Scott.

Oh I don't have a tow rope or my winch on will this hinder me?

Good to hear from you Scott! You will have a blast if you make it out.
It will hinder you if you dont have either the tow rope or winch but its
easy to make a tow rope out of a shoe string and a little heavy wire.
Not a problem if you dont tho. just more penalty winches!
