More progress:

Body painted - checked.
Cockpit with drivers - checked.
Panels to keep dirt out - checked.
Roof light bar - checked.
Aluminum spare tire carrier - checked.
Scale details - checked.

Now the hard part:
- Take wheels apart and paint beadlock rings yellow.

- Copy/Design and print all the scale decals off of this - I love this look:

It's still a yeti kit underneath - but I am getting to the point, where this might need to go to a different forum (not exactly crawler anymore...)?

P.S. I am short two axial lenses for the rear light bar ... does anybody know, where I could just get these parts?

Never know, when the old shoe laces off of the stinky tennis shoes come in handy ;-)
And thanks for the hint! Thats what I need. Doubt, I run it at night, but it just has to have LEDs in the long run!

Am I gonna race it? Probably not. Am I gonna bash it an get it dirty? Definitely.
Wanted a layer of stickers on there first before I scratch up the body.
Still missing front bumper and beadlocks, but we are getting there [emoji6]

You will :) Just want to get it all painted before it gets all dusty. Errr - if it ever stops raining here in Texas (didn't think I would ever want to say that!). And I want dust instead of mud!

Hey Yeti people: I want to extend the rear links just a little. Not possible with the stock ones. I need some with exchangeable rod ends in order to stretch them a little. So I tend towards the UCfab trailing arms - by the looks and what I heard about their quality. But I also read somewhere they are actually slightly shorter than the stock ones which defeats their purpose in my case? Can anybody confirm that or has anybody a better idea for the trailing arms and links?
Thanks folks!

I had blue monkey on my first yeti, they come with revo ends. You could get them and swap the ends for jato. You can also flip the lower link mount to see how much length you need.

i would love to see it race at least once just to see how it does compared to the other trucks out there lol

I would too - as of now, the only available track is still a mud pool. And honestly, my Dynamite Fuze 3900Kv on 2S doesn't have the punch I need to be competitive ;-) Will upgrade eventually. At least this way I can handle it without breaking everything immediately. But as I said, I am on it - want to see it in action too!

Oh my god!!!!! This is the ****ing sickest thing i have seen built on here in a while.

Throw a ssd centered axle on it and that will set it off.

Driving and taking pictures at the same time is kind of difficult by yourself I learned... I did video some of it too, but have to edit it first. I had a blast and crashed it only twice - without even breaking anything! All the stuff in the back is still there. I need to work on my driving skills ;-) 3
Only downside: it is pretty heavy. Would take a serious ramp to get it airborne.

In the last pic you can see the characteristics of the handling best - full throttle it lifts the front just like the real thing and the rear is planted to the ground, which gives you gooood traction. Video will follow.

Man of ingenuity and creativity...wow I am blown away. Not only is it scale, replaceable parts easily available, it looks like it handles very realistically as well! Excellent job!
