DrDiff952's Weekend Warrior SCX-Wraith

I had to get a set of ProLine Super Swamper TSL LX as my existing SX versions were not legal for Weekend Warrior class.

This one has the SX on the left and XL on the right.

So now I have a spare that counts as a functional scale accessory

Ordered a set of beef tubes for the front axle of this rig. 1.6 ounces of weight down low on the front end where it will help and strengthen.

Put some lights in my bumper, I need lenses.

I need some light housings for the tail lights...

I have some mini mag reflectors on the way...

Stuf to make Light Buckets came in...

Mini Mag flash light lenses and reflectors.

Shoe Goo to hold it to the body.

Now I need a JST male and female lead.

I will mount one set of bulbs in the body and the other on the bumper. The reason for the JST connector is that the body flips up from the rear for service. Hence the need for a connector.

Picked up some Axial Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited flares today...

The order from lockeduprc.com came in ...

Installed... But I need a CMS/Panhard. And I need to make the drive shaft for between the Toyzuki shaft and the transmission input shaft.

Well CMS/Panhard won't be here until this weekend. I have to enlarge the holes for the pins to mount the drive shaft.

I enlarged the pin in the Axial transmission top shaft and shortened it.

bolted up half a drive shaft and started on the front and then Tragedy struck....

Destroyed the Super Shafty Beefy Top Shaft.

So I started prepparing the front end for CMS/Panhard Decided to remove some of the motor mount to provide clearance for the axle....

Bolted back in and noticed the space between the upper link and the motor mount. The Vanquish Panhard mount re-locates this so, it should have more access.

It's in and it's UGLY!

The titanium rods I ordered are 15 mm too long. I called and they said that I need to send them back and they will send the right length.

Lots of things to be done, I must address the wires. The servo mounts on the axle housing need to be trimmed. I am still working on the driveshaft for the ToyZuki motor mount.
The Steering link needs adjusting so I can center the servo, The correct Vanquish Titanum rods will take care of this, I need to lengthen the servo harness
and cut a hole in the interior under the drivers legs to clear the ESC.

Two things on the horizon. Choose between Vanquish 8 degree Chubs and steering knuckles or go with Axial High reach knuckles.

At some point I want to replace the Axial shock mount hoops with Vanquish. But I might just make a spreader bar to stiffen the upper portions of the kit parts.
