It's been way too long! New Vanquish H10 Optic is in the house. I've been looking forward to this kit since the Optic RTR came out months back.

I figured that a kit form of the Optic would maybe be a release this holiday season, but wasn't sure. Then I happened to jump on the Social and saw that someone has posted about the new kit being released. I instantly jumped on the VP website and placed my order. I luckily was one that got in on the first round of pre-orders. That I believe was on Nov. 19. Fast forward to 2 days ago and my Optic Kit arrived on the Big Brown Truck. It actually arrived 2 days earlier than the projected UPS ship date.

So, in all of its GREEN glory, I present to you my newest build, the H10 Optic Kit.

Yesterday more of this build arrived. I ordered some cool accessories from H-Tech. Shipment from Korea to Ohio USA in just over a week. Not too bad considering the time of year.

Picked up the Aluminum Hydro Steering Clamp set, the bump stops, CNC light mounts and LED light kit.

And today, the NSDRC RS800 V2 Ultra High Torque Brushless Servo arrived all the way from Trabuco Canyon, California. I went back and forth about picking up a low profile servo, but ended up going with this. Should be plenty of torque to whip the front tires around.

Never mind the RS100 bottom cases. They may or may not be for another upcoming build.

Can't wait to see all these builds. Im torn between starting it, or waiting till all my stuff gets here (f0r the most part is all is). But waiting on a set of wheels and for VP to drop Axle housings. Set of HTEch bump stops should be delivered tomorrow, though that was all I ordered for now from them. Im torn on their cage...but may grab the panels.

Same here. I’m going to slow start mine as I have time. Most of the orders have arrived. There is only a few other mods I’ve got planned for later on.

Can't wait to see how you build this up. I also got the green for my kit.
Yeah, looks like a few of us got the greens. I read somewhere that @Jato was pleased with his green selection!🤣

Their panels are on my list to get after end of year bills are taken care of. Have the bump stops, hydro clamps and servo/bumper mounts. No complaints with quality. Servo mount gives a bit more clearance for headlights behind the grill as well possibilities for mounting aftermarket front bumpers. H-tech's bar bumper is a bit more compact than stock too.

I'll have to check out the servo mount if it gives more clearance for the lights.

The green is growing on me. Might look good with the wheels I have.
I think the green will grow on me too. I did buy a can of lime green earlier this year to paint on of my other started but not finished builds.

Looking forward to watching this and see if any of us can salvage the pile of baby diarrhea.
Baby diarrhea!!:ROFLMAO: Yeah, curious to see myself!

I'm gone start my build now
I'm hoping to start mine today if I can sneak away for a few hours.

Are you going to use the HUF livery? I could tolerate the green but the livery kills it for me.
Luckily, I can fix the color with my 3d printer.
That is a nice thing about this kit. I bought the Knights Customs files so I can print up a variety of colors.

I still want that teal set of panels though.

My kit came with the Red Livery, the one I hoped I wouldn't get, because my Capra 4ws is mainly Red too. I might just use some old Upgrade RC Rockstar body skins to cover the panels or trade up with somebody that wanted the Red Eibach livery?!

I sent you a PM.

More than likely I won’t be using the HUF-ing livery, but may use the green panels with another livery type.

I did also buy the Knight Customs panel and driver files. I’ll probably use the KC first while I decide on how to best use the green panels.

Back to building. Hoping to get this build back on track. I’ve had a few days off and got some much needed wrenching in.

Starting with Bag A, the front axle. Always cool to see a new Vanquish axle designs. I really like the new hydraulic ram style steering. Keeps the linkages tucked up and away from getting caught up on obstacles.

It went together smooth like all other VP axles I’ve built over the years. One exception was the slight bind and growl from the ring and pinion. Not sure why, but hoping it’ll be fixed with the aluminum third members that were ordered to replace the stock plastic housings.

On to Bag B, rear axle. Nothing special here, basically like all other rear axles, but a tad bit wider. The red aluminum diff fluid plug is a sweet touch to an already great looking axle.

This ring and pinion is smooth as silk with absolutely no bind or growl.

Looking forward to watching this build. Your pics are always way cleaner than mine!

Post #17 first pic. The oil spot on the right side under the hexes, looks like the outline of a body.
Care to share what happened? Lol just kidding.
Outstanding pictures.
What camera are you using?

Damn good imagination!🤣🤣 No idea who may have laid down and died! Seriously though, that is from a shock building mishap.

Thanks! Just using an IPhone 13. I’ve always used my IPhones. Much cheaper than expensive photo equipment and they produce great crisp pics.
