Yes I've done a search but I wasn't able to find a definitive longer term review about the HH SHV500. So for those with one, how are you liking it so far? Any issues with it? Do you find your 3s battery life has shortened a considerable amount because it now runs direct at 11.1v? Would you buy another one and recommend others to get one?

Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks in advance. "thumbsup"

pic and specs for attention:

Torque @ 11.1v: 32.4 kg/cm (450 oz/inch)
Speed @ 11.1v: 0.10 sec

Love mine, can't comment on the run time though, as I didn't use 3s till this build.

How noisy are they compared to say Hitec/Savox. I know specifically my Hitc 7950TH Has a Ton of Chatter, granted going to try programming it to see if I can cut down on that.

A full 4S pack is more than 16v. John said he is working on a version that can take 4S but does not recommend these be ran on that voltage.

Will it work? Sure, Anything will work with too much voltage, The question is how long it will work..

My HV500 is quiet as a church mouse. No chatter at all. Pretty sure the SHV500 is same.

Hmmm, in that case I may have to pick some up for my rigs.... Chatter get's down right annoying, especially seeing as how at the moment I am driving them around the house because my 3 year old keeps telling me to Drive It and of course get's quite upset when I don't :D

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback guys. Anyone else with more trigger time on this servo?

I've got one and it is broken...
BLS SHV500 (v1)

Tried to contact HH trough their webpage and even JH directly on FB but haven't yet got any answers. My servo has the center pin broken (also a couple of gears probably due to the pin breakage). This would be easily fixed with a replacement gear set, but cannot find any available for V1 (plenty of those available for V2 with stronger pins, which doesn't fit V1), and the worst part, The recess for the pin in the servo top cover is badly deformed.....the pin cannot stay in place even though I got the replacement kit.

--->I just wonder does the H2 have some bushings for the pins? ( like many high quality servos do to prevent the pin eating the recess bigger and finally failing.)

-->Anybody have any idea where I could get the V1 gear replacement set and another top cover?

Big thanks to Holmes customer service that helped me out with the replacements.

And as an answer to my own question the V2 has bushings for the pins, as well as stronger pins.

Anyway I ordered a V2 as well earlier on and got that yesterday. It says 2s-4s on HH website, on the package it says 11.1-15v?

So in the end is it good or is it not good for going 4s power directly, which can be 16.8 volts with fully charges lipo..?

The shv500 v2 can be powered direct from a 2s up to 4s lipo.

The HV500 v2 can handle 2s up to 3s.

That's what JRH stated in his posts here.

I have no issues with my HV500 v2 running direct from 3s in the TRX .

Thanks. And yeah I know why should I doubt what is says on their website. Still wondering why did they put 11,1-15V on the package then? You sure there aren't several versions of V2...?

there's only V1 V2 Version of the shv500, there where a firmware issue with some of the first V2, which is fixed now."thumbsup"
