Re: 2014 USRCCA Nationals

Hey Fish,

It would be nice to have a dedicated 2014 Nationals master thread so that newbs et all can find this year's information more easily.

Cheers,

J

This is the master thread.

Are asking for the Forum Name to be updated?

What is the best airport to fly into?

Re: 2014 USRCCA Nationals

What is the best airport to fly into?

T. F. Green in Warwick RI is the closest, probably under 40 min to Jamestown/Newport area. Next I guess would be Logan in Boston, but the that'd be about an hour and a half to two hour ride.

Re: 2014 USRCCA Nationals

The cheapest fares I've found are landing in Providence. Is this a good place?

I'm coming from Colorado and I usually fly Southwest.

Re: 2014 USRCCA Nationals

Yeah, even though the airport is in Warwick they still say Providence. It's a very easy airport to get in and out of.

Re: 2014 USRCCA Nationals

So that is the best airport nationwide?

I see a lot of them in the area.

Re: 2014 USRCCA Nationals

Hey fish, what days are you planning on running each class? Some long distance travelers would like to start making travel plans.

Unless there are dramatic differences in the sign ups in the classes of previous years the format and itineraries should remain very similar.

I have no plan to change the traditional formats unless the sign ups dictate the changes.

NOTE: We are not behind previous years schedules. The states names are due on JULY 1st, and invites don't go out until the 1st week in July. Usually week give invitees 2 weeks to respond before invites start being dropped. The earliest any Wait List invites will be issued will be the end of July.

Sent from my thumbs.

I will make an Official Itinerary thread asap

Re: 2014 USRCCA Nationals

Newport hotels | BEST WESTERN Mainstay Inn | Newport Mansions
Official Hotel - Rodeway Inn

We have 25 rooms blocked off at the Rodeway Inn available for booking at a Group Rate. The group name to mention when booking is USRCCA.

Rates are as follow.

1 Queen Bed - Weekday Price = $39.99, Friday & Saturday night = $130
2 Double Beds - Weekday Price = $49.99, Friday & Saturday = $130

We got some great prices on the weekday so anyone who wants to come in early or stay late in the Newport area can sleep for cheap. It seems like the hotel will be pretty flexible until the end of July if we need to add rooms, after that no promises.

Is it already filled? If not, where do I put the USRCCA code?

Re: 2014 USRCCA Nationals

We are booked at the best western West Greenwich. Wed to Sun is like $435. And it appears to be about a 20 min drive. Can't wait!!

Re: 2014 USRCCA Nationals

Don't think it's filled up Samu, we booked 3 rooms today, you might have to call to get the discount and the money you save you can put towards your phone bill :lmao:

At The Rodeway Inn:

There are 12 rooms with 2 beds remaining and 9 rooms with 1 queen bed remaining. Like BC said, give them a call and they will help you out.

Just as a general note they are holding the rooms until August 4th. After that they will be open to the general public. I would suggest booking your room before this if you can. If not you can see if they still have a room, if they do you WILL still get the discount if you mention USRCCA.
