2017 New England Monster Showdown - June 23rd-25th - Fort Wetherill, RI

So I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it up there even though its in my home state. Haha. But if I do it would I be able to buy a ticket there? If not maybe I'll just come watch if I have time. Looks like this is going to be a killer comp though!

Tickets will be available the day of. "thumbsup" If we get a LOT of "day of" signups we might have to limit people, but only if we hit our attendance cap with the insurance policy.

Thanks! I'll try to sign up a few days before if I can go. "thumbsup"

Anyone who is interested I will be going to the comp site this Sunday afternoon to do some grounds and trail maintenance, and to burn a few packs. Feel free to join if you like.

This thread is making me want to change my plans in a few weeks :twisted:

This is not a drill people, I think I am IN! Before I get the ticket, I would like to nail down lodging. Are most of you booked at the Main Stay from post 1? I haven't called, but online availability looks ok at the moment. Thanks!

So I can only get to one of the days, decisions decisions decisions. Not going to win anything due to lack of talent so time to decide what to run. I have an moa, a shafty, a scale and a u4. If you run on 2.2shafty day can you compete in the x4, u4(same times), or all of them? To for the info.

Hey Xtacy,

I think this comes down to what you have more interest in. If you are more interested in the Comp Scene then competing with the MOA would be a ton of fun. We are paying down the top 8 finishers so you never know how you might do. You will also get a chance to hang out with some of the top drivers in the country.

If you are more interested in scale then the X4 and U4 would be what you want to do. Shafty and X4 are going to be running at the same time (See the schedule on page 1) but there might be an opportunity to sneak away and do the X4 and still compete in shafty, maybe you miss out on a course.... Based on what I am seeing for signups the scale events seem to be more local drivers.

Saturday or Sunday, either way I am sure you will have a good time.

Definitely appreciate the advice and will give it some more deep thought haha maybe if I get my moa to perform like my shafty it could be interesting but at the moment it isn't. I better hop on over to the bully thread! Thanks again

Good luck with your conundrum, I can say that all the Guys in MOA are really great and would totally be up to giving you all sorts of tips, and pointers. It might be a great opportunity to see what others rigs are setup like and how they perform.

Also if it makes a difference the Product giveaway will be geared more towards Comp stuff on Saturday, and more towards Scale stuff on Sunday.

Either way, see you there! "thumbsup"

I've been welcomed into the community and helped out lots since last year from all the guys in Connecticut. Just need to get more comp and chances to attend the small comps. It's hard with 2 little ones and out of state fam. Also like too many aspects of this hobby (comp, scale, U4, trailing etc) haha Met some great guys on the scale side at last year's event.

Hey Guys and Gals,

Just a few more days until the Monster Showdown. Please check out the map to show where you need to be if you are a comp guy or a scale guy.

The Comp courses will be located in the area shown in red, the same as last year for those who attended.

The X4 event will be taking place in another area of the park to give them tons of awesome terrain to cover. Those drivers can meet directly at the X4 area Sunday morning if they like.

After the X4 event those drivers will return to the event headquarters for a Vendors Giveaway.

The U4 Course will be setup in the vicinity of the Event Headquarters after the Giveaway.

The event schedule can be found on page one or here
