2014 Holmes Hobbies USRCCA Worlds

Like RICrawler said,

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it out to Worlds, it was a great weekend. I can speak for myself and all the other BC guys when I say we had a blast. A special thanks to everyone who helped with the event, Coordinators, Judges, Photographers, and all the people who just stepped up to help, whether it be relief judging or helping carry something back to the cars with your free hand. RC Crawling really is a great community of people. I can't think of any other competition where the guy in second place is helping the guy going for first place get through.

Congrats to all the podium finishers, you really showed us what's possible with these rigs, and way to go Manu, bringing home 4 trophies, including the overall trophy.

Another thanks to the sponsors for supporting this event, we had some great raffle prizes that were given away, and the Cash Prizes (and big checks) were awesome.

I can't wait until the next big event, where I will have the opportunity to mix Great People, Awesome Rock, and Toy Trucks.

See you next time Jamestown,

Also a quick shout out to a couple unsung hero's of the weekend.

RI Crawlers Father for delivering, setting up, break down, and hauling away a sweet 20' x 20' tent that was awesome to use as home base. Pop ups may have seen their last day :p

and this guy,

Dennis, the head Chef at Narragansett Cafe who bought 80lbs of Lobster so we could have delicious Lobster Rolls all weekend. "thumbsup"

One Hell of a weekend!!

Thanks to Everyone for Everything!

The people(all involved/crawler's) are truly what makes this all such a Fun part of life!
My favorite part of the weekend is meeting everyone that we share so much of our time with (build threads/help/etc) thru out the year and getting to meet the new and getting back together with the guys we have already met at the other Big events thru out the year..

I'm home and goin to bed, so I can get some relaxation at work tomorrow! Lol..

Yes..... Wonderful weekend and thanks to all the locals that worked hard to make this possible. I just loved the view and the breeze...... All the gorgeous sailboats..... And the awesome rock. I believe Wes redefined "rock rash" and several others left a drop of blood here and there. Overall it was a huge success and I can't wait to see what happens next year

Muchos Gracias Fish and Canadian Bakin'

Thank you Fish, Team Canadian Bakin' and all of the judges, volunteers, family and sponsors for making that one seriously fun event. When I heard that RI was the location I was like "huh?". Crow eaten:shock::oops:. That was probably the most beautiful and technical comp spot I've ever been to. The rock was amazing and the scenery was off the charts. I could spend a week there. Excellent decision to have the event there. Look at this amphitheater style seating. The ocean was 2ft behind me when I took this shot.

Second coolest part (other than the folks of course) was the 20x20 tent. I've always wanted to see a Big Top event. There should be Big Top Sponsor for each event. I'd take that tent over some extra raffle stuff any day of the week.

Big thank you for all of the international guys (Switzerland, Finland, Japan, Germany, Canada, Norway etc) for making the big financial and personal sacrifices to attend. The event would have not been if it weren't for your dedication. Thanks wives and girlfriends!

Thanks to all and congrats to the top drivers. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

Team Norway is back home after some sightseeing in New York :)

Thank you all for this experience! It was very fun to meet so many great drivers, and the big names in crawling, and I now realize we have all the same disease :)
We felt really included in the gang at once!

The comp site was great, and we hope to meet you all again next year, and hopefully give you some more competition ;)

Well I finally made it home yesterday after along travel day and yes I'm still tired but it was well worth it!
I have to say thanks to all that made this happen with the planning and organizing required and time taken away from families and life in general to make it happen! To the volunteers who gave up their day to judge or set up courses. You all know who you are!"thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"
It was great to meet so many of you and make new friends from all over the world! The place was amazing and the grippest rock I have ever driven on! Had to throw my shoes away cause they have no tread left!
Can't wait untill next year to see all you again!
Until then " I got to get outta here!""thumbsup"

For me a dream comes true and it was much better than I had hoped because we were welcomed so openly!!!
I has really felt that we are a community and we all looking for the same - fun on the rocks:)

Also good that i got the chance to meet all that great drivers in person!!

Even if the rocks have me not located at the beginning, this has changed and I did not want to leave at the end!! A really fantastic compspot who offered the opportunity to create cool challenging courses.

I have so much fun to comp with all of you last weekend and hope to got the chance to come back one time more:mrgreen:

I am really happy everyone liked the location and enjoyed themselves at the comp. It makes it worth all the effort "thumbsup"

For those who have not seen it yet, there is a short article on RCDriver.com about the event, the whole story will be published in the January 2015 issue.
