1/6 Hemi powered Willys Jeep Hot Rod

I still have not made the front grill yet either, that is my paper sample.
For tires, went with the 2.2 Dune XT's and steel wheels, they seemed the closest to the 1:1

Thanks guys.
More pics coming tonight. I modified some RC4WD steel beadlock wheels to be free spinning on the front axle tonight at work !! Woo Hoo

Small update time.
With this being a 2 wheel drive I needed some free wheeling front wheels. I used the RC4WD OEM Steel Beadlocks. I bored them out on the lathe, pressed in 2 bearings in each wheel along with a small washer. Came out nice and spin free as ever now.

Worked on the dash, speakers added like the 1:1 all that's left is weathering.

Start of the steering wheel. I used an old custom 1.9 ring from 62pyro. Need to add some more bolt heads and it is done.

All for now.

I like your steering wheel. The center of the 1:1 wheel reminds me of the center of a Honcho wheel.

Thanks Big, I agree with you, I really don't care for the 1:1 wheel at all but I needed to do something close anyway.

I was gonna ask you if that was gonna be done with a bead? Thats how I did my skull shifters for the FOJV.

Update time
Chassis is complete and engine, radiator mounted.

Next update will be the front suspension and steering.

Thanks for lookin "thumbsup"

Thanks Norm. I do love the large scale.

A comp one day would be cool...as long as the rules don't get out of hand. These things are a blast to detail out, choices are endless.

You're nailing it! I'm surprised that you aren't taking any of the 'under construction' pics inside of the 1/6th garage.

Thanks buddy, the garage is in storage at the moment, needed the room in the shop.
I'm trying to convince the wife that the family room needs it on display but so far I'm losing that battle.

Tell her there are a couple hundred people on here that are on your side and that she's been outvoted. "thumbsup"
