That's cool!! I'm going to have to keep an eye out for one of those!

Around the end of the open bolt semi era (early 80s) some places were making open bolt semis.

Looks like they only made ~45000 of them from 1958 to 1961! Quite rare!
Thank you! It was my first rifle at about 12 years old. I turned 50 in January, and I'll never part with it. It's rare, obscure, and a dumb idea that nobody really wanted when they were new, much less now. But it's one that I'll treasure until my dying day.
 
It's pretty dang cool!


The open bolt single shots are pretty unusual! The only ones I know of made in any sort of numbers is the MAC guns to try to get around some of the semi auto open bolt ban.


I will be doing more Win model 55 research!
