Yeti XL Aftermarket Thread

Hi.
This my first post and I need some help.My 1/10 axial yeti blew its rear drive shaft today on its first battery. So looking for a replacement.Have found this on ebay .YY Madmax 1 10 Axial Yeti Rock Racer Rear Steel Drive Shaft Axle | eBay
Would this be a good replacement.
Regards
Paul,

Paul,
First you have a lot of info here Scale Rigs Brand Specific Tech - Axial Yeti at RCCrawler.com for the Baby Yeti.

Whatever you do don't get that shaft. Integy is terrible quality. Research for a few $$ cheaper but spend a few dollars more and get this MIP X-Duty Rear C-Drive Kit, Axial Yeti one and it will be the last one you'll ever buy plus it will outlast your Yeti more than likely.

Cwr-3009.

Hey can you through up a picture after you get them mounted on your rig?

That seems like the best all around tire for the XL....Some of the tires I've been looking at alone weigh more than that... Then aluminum wheels....umm...I think I just heard something snap...Maybe someday it will be there...

That's an issue too. I don't want to run heavy ass wheels and I'm also worried about the stock wheels stripping. I've stripped 2 and broken 2 stockers. So, I'm a bit leery of putting Pits on the stockers. I would like for them to be on quality wheels so I don't have to bake them off if the wheel fails. I tighten with a real socket wrench, put thread lock on them, sacrifice a chicken to JoBoo and they still break and strip.

Narrowing some Axial bead blocks is an option, but too much work. It would be nice to just glue them on a quality rim and not worry about them stripping out or breaking...kind of like Pro-Line rims.

Does the X-Maxx have tire problems like this?

They also have these armored windshield and sides too.

Hey guys, sorry for no bumps but all is chugging along on the YXL side...

First the good news: I took the YXL for the first time since the last update, and managed to climb that one hill after several attempts:

I think the recent weeks of rain smoothed it out and bit and I got a good run at it, so we can cross that one off.

The bad news: My rear diff is clicking finally. We had about 4 runs that night but I've had that diff since I first got the truck. I will open it up tonight and see what's going on for sure, but I might have to put a set on order.

Oh I would love that!!..i have 2 bodies and cages so that's perfect!!
Sorry I am a little behind searching through all these threads... killer idea should have known u already thought of it..lol

Lol goodlord who makes that? I get a little giddy when I see a new Xl part even if it is a cover like that.
