Y-Town Double Agent 2.0- Matt's

Thats awesome that metal 3rd gear broke before the plastic gears. LOL.

As far as I know, that has been somewhat of a common problem with the Exceed small 3rd gears. As you know, for $3.50, you could keep slapping new ones in there and hopefully find a good one or... just put a Berg small 3rd gear in there and be done with it.

Well I replaced the rear gears and found some drill bits that where 0.003 bigger in diameter. I will post pictures later. You know I like to post pictures.....

First I made these shock relators. The shocks were still too laid down for me and the shock was hitting my battery mount badly!

So #2 shock mount relocator.

Looks good matt.. why not have just used longer shock/rodends?

I'm trying to understand what the problem was?

The chassis stiffeners would move a little. So I made small notches in the nuts. It seems to be holding the stiffeners now. Here is picture of the notch in the nut. Then I turned it to line up with the plate.

I recently picked up the same chassis, heading to the garage to do some nut notching with the Dremel now. I really like your idea and it's fun to say nutnotching."thumbsup"

LMAO nutnoutching, if nutnoutching makes you smile she's doing something right..

The chassis stiffeners didn't move after 8 course at the 2016 RC Rock Crawling Championship. I need to drive more!

Here is some pictures of my knuckle weights. There where working great at the last comp.

Well I had a bearing failure. I really messed up the gears. The 5X9X3 bearing failed. I'm thinking maybe stuff a 3X9X4 bearing in the axle. I can't find a sealed bearing 3x9X3. I found some but all a look like they are open. Because the gears wear and the metal will go in the bearing I don't want that to happen.
Here is the damage.

That´s the smallest bearing and it´s the weakest point... i change it every winter.Perhaps it would be more safe to use a brass bearing

One of the three reasons I havent switched over my front axle yet. Not that the xr is any better lol but I feel safer for now. :ror:

That really sucks:shock: Matt. Hope You get bearings before our comp this Saturday.

BTW I have a set of berg axles FS.. ;-)
