The rig is some what complete but at least driveable to test. What still needs to be done is the knuckle weight which Del Monte is currently working on (i hope:flipoff:) and I planned to run an old school proline c-10 comp body. After my testing today Im thinking against a body now. When driving I noticed a lot of times that a body would have prevented me from making a line. So yeah well see. Plus it covers up that AWESOME Y-town chassis.

I ran into a major problem I hope I can figure out soon. The rear motor stalls really easy! If I lightly grab the rear tires the motor doesnt even fight back. This is in 4wd btw.

Set up

Dual Tekin FX-R
Tekin 55t motors
Castle Bec
Hitec 950
Pinion sorry I will need to check

Anyone got any ideas on what to look into?

Tried stalling the front motor and it stalls as well. It take a little more force but not much. Brushes look like they have plenty of life as well.

Check the timing on the motors. If the rear is running in reverse and the timing hasn't been adjusted accordingly it may cause the stall?

Nice job on getting it done. Mine is collecting dust because I have no wheels... :ror:

You guys should show up to the RC Rock Crawling Chompionships next weekend. I'm sure someone has a set of wheels to lend, and we can all trouble shoot your motor problem if you haven't figured it out by then. worse comes to worse you borrow a set of motors. You might win a pair in the raffle! HAHAHAHA

Yeah thats what Jake suggested as well. I will check when I get off work. I think I know a guy that makes some pretty sweat wheels.

Yep already signed up.

I'd bet the 55t motors are set @ 0* timing. If they are timing of motor shouldn't matter.

Almost complete! Got a couple things like adding knuckle weights and adjusting the links a little bit. Still working on my tires, but I am pretty impressed with how well the BFG KO2 worked with no weight.

Wow these knuckle weight from Y-Town Crawlers look great and fit really well(please note that these are a 3d printed version)

KW's look REALLY good, BTW don't forget about the other side.

Are you really running the tires on the rig now? If you place well @ the comp... those tires might be the next must have comp tire..

HAHA yeah both of them are mounted.

The BFG Ko2 tires actually did way better than I would have expected especially with no weights. I have a custom set of Proline pin tires I have made and they are almost complete. Should have them ready tonight"thumbsup"
I can for sure say I never want to make a custom set of tires ever again.

Well its complete for now. After championships I will be cleaning up all the wiring so its much cleaner. The egressor shock bodies I got from RC bros seem to be about .25" longer than the original size. So I will need to figure out how to shorten them. I think I recall seeing maybe Robbob do it but cant remember. Its sitting a little to high for me but I hope it will be good enough for this weekend.

Tires were made from the Proline BFG KR2 using the side walls and a Proline suppressor 1/8 truck tire for the tread that I took .5" out of the center.

Traxxas shafts

Tires look good - I was just looking at those and some JConcepts yesterday thinking the same route.

Interested to see what you think of them with tread life and bite "thumbsup"
