WSM G2G planning/ chit- chat

the woodland area is a housing development that was started about 4 years ago and seems to have died out. there is a public park near buy so there wont be any problems there. the water fall is in front of an office so as long as we go after hours i dont think any one will bug us. the water fall is to big for 1.9s ,but should be a good show for 2.2s. ill find a good place to meet sat and then we can convoy to the park/development.

Who want's to bake a rockcrawler cake with cupcake wheels, and licorice driveshafts......yummmm

Actually, now that I've typed that, it sounds like a cool project....

Thanks Scott!! Now that I see it's been done before I can cross it off my list. "thumbsup" Really feels like I dodged a bullet!

Being original is the only thing that can trump my lazyness:mrgreen:

Ah come on. I was looking forward to the second (blue) one climbing some rocks as it crossed a stream!

You could bury a real, retractable winch line in the front bumper of the cake and have a log on the opposite side of the stream to attach to!
Rocks in the stream could be real turtles (very original)!
Tires could be 'cut and shut' rock lizards (heard they taste and grip like black licorice)!
Front stinger and rear tube bumper made out of chocolate covered pretzels!

So the 15th is a no go for me gf is in town and that's the only day she is here and wants some us time but Wednesdays I'm free

Yeah she did but that was before I started to work and now she only gets one day blah blah blah but the 1.9 I am hoping to get up and running tomarrow

oooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...........Sat is supposed to be sun/cloud and 68!
Still on for 3pm?

Found twisted driveshafts - built new ones tonight.
Electronics are out of the JK for waterproofing. Hope to get them back in late Fri night.
Have to work Sat until noon or so.

Itching to see that spot in Kentwood!

Got the JK dried out and back together.
Best I can tell is water was pooling inside the heatshrink on the ESC. Glitching is 99% gone.
Servo is a bit messed up though. It is back together, works, but does not center very well anymore.

I think I'll avoid the deep water for now on.

Although not very scale, I am putting some old 1.9 Krazy Krawlers on the MOG. Prob should be short 1.5's for the scale of that rig, but curious to see how she'll do on the trail with that tread. The height will give the pumpkin more clearance.

Next GTG??

Well I suppose I should get busy and upload some pictures. What a fun day. Next time if Sweli can keep his gremlins in check it should be a flawless day. :lmao:

Sweli's super JK. Very cool.

Sorry Dave, I only got the one still picture of your truck. I did get a couple of videos. Once I figure out how to link them I will put them up too.

Anyone will dialup connection... my most humble apologies.

i was just trying not to be out done by nate. good thing bugzz didn't come. i think he is a water bug. probably would have had to go swiming after my truck. cant wait to go again.

My household has become a Canon only zone. My wife uses a 20D for her professional pictures. I have a A580 for a "bike camera". And my wife bought me a beautiful A1100 last year for my birthday. However, I have dropped that camera twice now (both times we got it repaired) and I am not aloud to touch it anymore.

All of the "non-fixed" lens canon cameras take beautiful pictures. My wife D20 and my A580 are pretty fast at recovering from a picture. The A1100 isn't, but that camera has higher Resolution then the wife professional.

Man it looks like I did miss out damn it next time, but had to keep the gf happy, feels like I already married is that a bad thing lol. And planes for Saturday the 22nd.
