Wraith Beginners Guide

Ok I'll give that a try. Thank you for work and time you put in. The stickies are amazing! Don't know how you find time to build and use your rigs.

Nice info here. I want to use a metal servo horn on my stock servo for now. Who makes the servo so I can get the appropriate horn?

Likely fried the motor. Take it put and see if it smells burnt.

What would cause this to happen so I can prevent this from happening again? If I replace the stock motor with a Holmes Crawmaster 13T, can I still use the stock ESC or should I get a new BRXL? Just watching my budget.

By the way, what is a good servo?

I would like to see what everyone is using for foams and that mods you do to them? I have the stock but seam very soft and the prolines that came with the swappers that I'm using. The pl feel way to slow reforming. They also don't vent good. I don't want to vent the tires.

I make all my own foams.. Go to the sewing section of Walmart and look for foam sheets. They come in 12x12" up to 24"x36" I think.. They come in different thicknesses and some are a dual foam, regale on 1 inch and memory on the other inch of the 2" thick stuff. I like the regular 2" the best.. Just cut a strip the right length for the tire and may or may not star cut (depends on what truck).. Memory foam is good in the heat.. But as soon as it gets near freezing it sucks.. Gets hard as the rocks you're trying to climb..
Best thing is.. Walmart foam is really cheap.. $6 for a 12"x24" sheet

Cool. What do you use to glue the foam ends together?

Harley,

What is your opinion on dig unit for the Wraith?

Thanks,
Quiel

X2 I also would like to hear. I been back and forth between dig and rear steer. I love to play with the digs but think the wraith would really benefit from rear steer. I looked all around but nobody really runs dig hmm wonder why? Wishing I had 4pks instead of 3pks then I could have both :)

Really the only dig I have ran that I would recommend at this point is the VP dig. The 2:1 leverage that the arm creates makes it shift infinitely better than all the rest. You need to pick up a stock Ax10 style transmission case in addition though, should be about 7 bucks.

my axle shafts are starting to look like garbage and slip, didnt see any mention of a good upgrade besides the axial universals which seem to be on a back order..anything else to look at?

hey harley shoutout from bc canada, just wondering, i picked up a 54t 32p metal spur from my lhs formy wraith and its actually for a AE sc10 with dual slipper pads, the holes on the gear dont match up with the clutch plate. is there any way to make it work with my transmission or do i need a new gear?
thanks for your time

You could attempt to adapt the slipper from the SC10. You might be better off getting different parts though. I am doing a similar mod to mine with some Slash parts. Check out the last page of my thread right now (page 105 I think).
