Who from Alaska is part of RCC?

I'm in ANC also, just got into crawling...er. Rc crawling anyway. Xr10 should be here in the next 7-10 days, built a 10x20 rock garden in the backyard to play.

I used to host some events in the warehouse where I worked, but the building was sold and the fake rocks that Tre busted his ass to build had to be taken to the dump :???:

We have a new warehouse, so we have space to do it, but no rocks and I can't keep the rocks at the warehouse now.

Me. I grew up in AK spent 26 years there mostly in anchorage and then moved to WA. Also spent two years in nome and four years in fairbanks when I was a kid. Hard to believe you guys don't have much going for crawlers/scalers, there a lot of different terrain to be had up there...then again there's not a lot of people and anchorage has been going down the shitter for awhile. Good news is I'm going back up to visit some family in anchorage come June and will be bringing two scalers, one is for my gramps, grams, sister and dad that I'm currently working on, it will be an appreciation gift to them for raising me well. Hope to see some you guys there, I plan to hit up behind totem theater off of muldoon rd just past northern lights blvd where I used to wheel 1.1 rig and snowmachine when I was a misfit. Maybe hit up a few places around moose hill as well as others. Hope to see some yous around up there!

I am here as well. Not sure if anyone knows me but a few from House of Hobbies tho. I'm Oliver, or in other words, the asian kid that's almost always at the hobby shop everyday... LOL!
Anyways, I've been a member here since Winter of 2011 I believe and that's when I built my FJ Cruiser. However, other types of RC's kept me busy during the Summer so I didn't get to run my scalers for a while. I did recently get back at it with the new Axial SCX10 JK.

I'm back at it now and can't wait for the Summer!! I plan on going RV'ing alot this summer and since I can't really bring my 5th scales, I'll be sure to bring my scalers! One I am building for my little bro, and the new SCX10JK is mine.

hhhmm looks like we need to put ou colective heads together and figure out a spot to set up a course. Too bad house of hobbies didn't have the mindset to do what some of the hobby shops down in the states are doing and getting a place large enough for retail and have a course inside. have weekly events, entry fees, they could make enough and not charge alot to cover the exrta space rent it would be to have a larger area.

Well they had a plan to use their old place for that but they didn't jump on it fast enough to rent it out and someone else rented it.... I think they do have enough space up stairs for a semi decent sized course if they tossed aside the slot cars and train set...Anyone got any ideas?

I nheard about that. Damn, would've been great though

What's up my fellow Alaskans? I'm a fairly new rc addict (got my rs10xt last February as a birthday present). I was wondering if there was anyone down in the Kenai peninsula area (I'm in Homer) that goes crawling or trail riding?

Hi all! Greg from the valley here. Getting my SCX10 ready for summer! My brother and his friend have Ridgecrests. I believe I can speak for all of us, and say we are all interested in some comps.

we frequently visit McHugh, and Beluga Point. trail riding in Hatchers Pass. and always on the look out for new places to rally.

Hope to see you out there!

Dear Mother Nature,
No matter how much you fight and cling to winter, summer is coming. Get your S**t together and get over it please.

Sincerely,
Ticked off Alaskans :flipoff: :lmao:

Out in butte, follow Maude rd out to the extension of it, at the base of the mountains there. I've been asking around guys at work. And out Sullivan rd, to the south and east of the access to the south possibly. End of Maude rd sounded more likely for good crawling
