Where do I go from here?

That's good it doesn't change, the chassis I used did and I could never get my link geometry where it wouldn't and I'd get the dreaded worm stall, had to use dig a lot just to settle it out, still have it in pieces been thinking of putting it back together with the stock chassis just for old times sake, had fun competing against XR's in pro class, only scale comps around Colorado anymore I could just make it a scaler.

It seem the scaler is taking over . Most of my area is scaler too western PA

Ok one last big order for this one and it’ll be gtg.i should have my Dlux knuckles ,Ottsix pins , CI comp cut 2stage foams and body by Saturday. Last order will be the biggest motor esc and servo that’s gonna hurt lol. May have to break that one into two orders lol.

Got some of my stuff this weekend. But I ran into a few issues. My new shafts I had Dlux make me are well just to big diameter for codyboys beeftubes so I’m going to try to pick up where robbob left off when he first started his losi build. And I’m also ordering a housing from CM9000 because I’m a fugin idiot and I’m sure I will fugg this mod all up so at least I’ll have a back up when mine goes completely wrong. But this is where I’ve got it too so far

Here’s a few shots of my comp crawler so far . I know this isn’t part of my build but I’m working on it while I’m throwing a fit about my sporty. Going to put my pit bulls on it and my vp slw ‘s when I get some carbon fiber wheels for my sporty. Im also going to run my goat3s on it 18.5t with a 14 t pinion for starters and adjust from there. Once I get these two done im going to build another night crawler using all losi stuff . Like all but links steering and electronics the rest will be losi.

I scraped the one I started it was steel and got real heavy. This is a DMG topper I just got off DMG a few weeks ago

Waiting sux ! Waiting for my front housing from Anthony. Have a few more things coming tomorrow for the CCR and still pondering electronics. I know worm axles like brushless but I’m not sure if I want that. I like the low speed control feel of brushed motors. That and HH already sells the smashed esc , but I like the reliability of brushless never have to breake them in and these newer cans you barely need to clean them . So I’m not really sure what way yet ! Guess we will see. Probably gonna go with the puller team 500 11t and the mini esc . Or the puller pro 3700 and don’t know what esc yet .

I just ordered a puller pro stubby 2700kv to try out on 4s and 6s. And yes, waiting does suck! But thankfully shapeways is quick.

Usually about a week and a half at the most for parts to show up at my door so i can get them packaged up and sent back out.

I'm running a lower KV OutRunner with the Mamba x ESC. I've tried many different combos and settled on this one. Runs excellent and very good control. I love the startup sound these ESC's make, Castle did an excellent job on the hardware and software. Data logging and rock race/crawler mode is what sold me on my first one. I now run these in all my rigs.

How heavy is your truck? I’m going for 4.5 lbs super lite then I can put all the weight where I need it .

Well I kinda finished the front housing so here’s a pic or two

The front axle you will receive, from chub to chub complete with shafts in, should weigh a little less than stock front chub to chub.

I've been wanting to get a bit more clearance, and notice a lot of people use the "bent" lower links. What size links would I look for? I'm assuming everyone's bending them themselves, and would need to be slightly longer then stock (using stock frame)?

On my latest "time only build" I used C.I. low clearance bent delrin links in the rear. But! I would however recommend Dlux losi comp crawler link kit as well. simply because you wouldn't have to make the uppers and they are a direct fit.

if you want to make your own, I would get some 4mm Ti for lowers and thread them for 8-32 thread. the uppers I would sleeve 3mm stainless with some thin wall aluminum.
