OMG, It's FRANK!!!

Where tha heck have ya been?

:lmao:

(hope you have been hangin' in there, with all the madness of the last year or so!)

There is no way I would spend $90 on this when the SHV v3 is only $30 more. I might pay $60.

Not that I'd get it, but when I click on the link it's only $50... :lmao:

(my most recent purchase was a HH SHV500 v3, BTW)

EDIT:

Ah - he posted a $90 servo AND a $50 servo - my bad...

Can't find any comparative / quantitative / torture test for the DMOND "Monster Killer Servo" servos:
DBS65168V
DBS6084V
DBS5084V
Anyone found one and could share? Thanks!

I was sent samples to entice me and I forwarded them to a 3rd party tester. Let's just say they barely hit 60% of the ratings. Wasn't a surprise.

Thanks John for the feedback! In light of various test results on youtube, where brand servos reach maybe 75% of rated specs, this might not be so bad.

For my peace of mind when ordering cheap servos, I usually consider chinese Nm to be some special, smaller Nm :lmao:, more like half the usual magnitude :).

Been a LONG time since I posted on these boards, I have kind of gotten back into the hobby with the purchase of a 3d printer at the beginning of the year.

Now I have a question that this servo forum post might answer? I am looking for a high torque waterproof steering servo that is slowish, I put a promodeler 630 in my trx4 and.. well the little guy in the cab must be The Flash crosses with the Hulk lol.

I am assembling a 3dsets Rancher, a p407, and a 3d printed Hmmwv from Antnesh on Cults3d and am looking for a servo that turns the wheels at a scale speed but still with plenty of torque.

Chris
