What the newest cheap servo hotness?

I am assembling a 3dsets Rancher, a p407, and a 3d printed Hmmwv from Antnesh on Cults3d and am looking for a servo that turns the wheels at a scale speed but still with plenty of torque.

Chris

There are small electronic gizmos available that allow to adjust (reduce) servo speed. These are used in rc-construction equipment (excavators, for example).

I think some transmiters may have parameters for channel speed. My transmitter (DX5c) has a parameter for that but i dont know if its usual in other transmiters.

Best regards,
Nuno

Ahh thank you, I will look into those :)

Clm,

Are you gonna do a build thread on 3dsets project? I have been working on a Landy wagon version off and on since February. I’m thinking about starting to post some images and start a build thread. I have decided to start off with a pretty weak servo just because I’m unsure of how all the parts will hold up so I am actually putting it together with a basic futaba servo I used in a grasshopper project for one of my kids. If the Landy holds up I’ll go slightly more powerful. I’m looking forward to hearing how your build goes.

...only for the US

I have been considering a on my bench type build thread that covers all my vehicles since I tend to be a bit ADD when building them.. but here is a pic of the Rancher as of today. I am uncertain where to upload photos anymore other then discord lol

Don't quote me on it,but, these servos don't do what specs say,the quote me part, i think i read on the book of many faces (his HH fan community page)that,he had a 3rd party test these, they don't do what he specs say. PLEASE DO NOT quote me on that.

Oh I bet they don't do what they claim.

I just bought the 25kg servo injora from amazon. It is better than the rtr but not as strong as my 20kg servo. But for $16 you can't beat it I think.

Looked through the thread for any mention of this but didn't see anything. It's cheap enough that I'll buy one and try it out

i picked one of these up for a 2.2 rig i got the 50kg direct power version its definitly not as strong as its rated for but im only running off of 3s not 4s so thats part of it its vary fast but maybe only 20kg on 3s at best but its direct power for about the same price as the jx direct power units
the only good thing i really have to say about it is it dosent get hot when bound up alot on long runs on a heavy rig running 2.2 tires

link to the direct power unit https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32568...216616918815204320e2be1!12000026445250255!rec

i found this another 50kg direct power unit while looking ive never herd of them before but there slightly cheaper than the 9imod ones
