What the newest cheap servo hotness?

Are there any 600oz+ servos out there besides the hitec 7980/90 and the pos savox?

You could go for these guys recent release:

Or the JX BLS-12V7146 Brushless 12v 46KG:

I've recently received the latter, it's the least expensive servo with such high torque figures quoted in the specs - we'll see just how good it is one of these days... (I've not finished the build that it will go in)...

I wanna hear about the 12V one!

I'd like to see a 3-way test of the 3bro, HH, and JX servos. They appear to use the same case (besides cosmetic machining), the same case silkscreening, and same wiring layout. Mike's HH gears seem to be different from the 3bro's pic, but I'm not sure if Mike's servo is a v1 or updated.

Maybe we can have Durok snap some internal pics of the JX & HH...

Here's the internals.

The JX is available in a coreless or a brushless, that's the coreless... mine is the brushless - the BLS-12V7146 vs. the CLS-HV7346.

Identical specs except the brushless weighs 2g less. Coreless motors still use brushes, so they will wear out quicker and develop jittering eventually - however, they are less expensive.

are those JX servos waterproof?

If you clicked on the link in post #444 above, they claim it is.

Not yet tested by me, as I have stated that mine is not yet installed.

I'm not into running my RC's through the polluted scum-water that passes for creeks around here.

I did pick up silicone conformal coating and dielectric grease recently and will likely use it on mine, just in case it starts raining while I'm out.

Why has no one mentioned the Bluebird 50kg servo, 800oz @8.4v and is $90 on Amazon or ebay.
That's a lot of money for a brand that isn't maint stream.

I haven't had many servo failures in my experience, outside of stock RTR servos, but one that failed quickly was a BlueBird so my experience with them is tarnished and I wouldn't be willing to gamble $90 on that brand.
