What the newest cheap servo hotness?

Gotta be sure you are checking what applications the servos are meant for....

The Rovan is a 1/5th scale servo and is oversized, won't work in 1/10th scale applications... 65mm long x 30mm wide x 57.4mm tall vs. the Bluebird at 40.5 x 20 x 39 mm.

Likewise the KINGMAX is way too big at 60 X 30.2 X 60.5mm.

For comparison: Holmes SHV500 v2 is 41 x 20 x 40mm.

So far, so good. One of the cool parts is no need for a BEC because they include a power tap that connects directly to the battery. I will keep everyone posted as it gets more use.

Looks like a version of google, all their pics get horrible url's. Try https://imgur.com/upload

I have considered a 1/5 scale servo since it's really not much bigger. Obviously not for most chassis mounts but 10m above the axle isn't impossible to deal with.

Took this from there ebay store page/info
Speed @6.6V: 0.14 sec
Speed @7.4V: 0.11 sec
Torque @6.6V: 386 oz/in
Torque @7.0V: 494 oz/in
Dimensions: (LxWxH) 40.5x20.5x40mm
Gears: Metal
Type: Digital
Bearing: 2BB
Input Voltage: 6.6V-7.4V
Output Shaft: 25T spline
Weight: 60g
I bought this last night, not waterproof tho . close to 500oz for 40 bucks ?

I always have a couple. Let me know. The only rigs I have at the moment require something torquey and quick. So I typically dump the older stuff.

The wrong one apparently.

I haven't been on a forum for a while... Still shaking off the rust...

Switched over to Imgur and seems to be working now.

I'm curious how many people pay $150 + US for servos now? Is there really any bang for the buck?
I have paid $120. You supposedly get better durability and reliability as well as better performance.

Yes.... IF you really need it.
My Wraith turned out to be a heavy rig, with extreme grip, I ate 4 different $100.00 servos, all in the mainstream , and all were replaced under warranty. I stopped the nonsense with a Savox 2290.
It lists for $160. I found a steal and picked it up for $120.
Logic said, only $30 more, it has not failed yet, I can see and feel the difference.

I can’t say for a lighter rig, that much is needed, But my Yeti is happy with my Hitec , it’s also 3 lb lighter.

Hang up and Drive

Does your experience support that?

Mine is still in the box.

But I can say my $60 to $80 Savox servos have been better than most of my budget servos. Not all, but most. I see the $150 (got it for $120 like Mike said) being worth the money.
