What powers your SCX10?

advice needed

i'm currently running a novak goat 3s with a 18.5T crawler motor (sensored). i'm getting a 13.5T novak sensored motor (non-crawler) for another project but i was thinking of running the 13.5 in my scx10. would that be too fast? i was looking for a little more pep than the 18.5T but will the 13.5T be too much?

Currently running a Losi NC ESC set to crawler mode with a 45T HPI Cheapy to see how it goes (need a bit more wheelspeed so will change to 35T HH most likely) on gearing 21T pinion and 80T spur. Using 2x 2200Mah LiPo's in parallel for long run times and a spektrum receiver with a DX3S.

Cheers Jarrod

My new Dingo kit has...

JR 8711 steering servo
Spektrum Micro Rx
Novak Timbuk2 13.5 combo
2s Lipo

FWIW, I'm a diehard Castle guy, but I decided to give Novak another shot. This Timbuk2 fits inside the stock box w/ my Spektrum micro rx and so far has taken everything I've thrown at it. I've only got a few hours on it so far, but those few hours were a shakedown run so I beat on it pretty hard, and I'm not running a BEC either, but it never even hiccuped. I was skeptical...but I've been happy so far. If the thing could handle 3s I'd buy one for my Wraith too.

My new Dingo has, but not yet installed,....

Tekin FXR 45T crawler combo
20/87
Intellect 2s 4200 40c stickpack
HS-5645mg
Futaba 3PM

scx10 honcho kit
ESC : tamiya TEU101BK
SERVO : TURNIGY MG958
MOTOR : TAMIYA CR TUNED 35T
BATT. : 2s REEDY 5000mah 35c
BEC : DIY (direct power connecti0n from battery to Reciever)
TX/RX : SPECTRUM DX3S / SPECTRUM SR300 FLAT SURFACE RECIEVER
PINION/SPUR : 17/87

servo, esc, reciever and bec is waterproof using AUTOMOTIVE UNDER COATING and 2nd coat by SILICONE (for double protection LOL)

My SCX10 Dingo Kit build:
Novak Eiger w/45T Rock Star
20/87
Traxxas High-Torque 2055 waterproof servo
Futaba 2.4GHZ FHSS transmitter/reciever
Venom 1800 NICD(Upgrading to LiPo soon)

Loving the Eiger, it puts out a lot of control and power to the tires, but takes up practically NO space!

My esc is now powered by:
Novak Eiger esc
Terra crawler 55t motor
2s lipo

I just put the Eiger esc and motor in tonight and it seems to be pretty sweet! Probably the easiest esc I have ever programmed! Can't wait to get on the dirt!

okay, my first post here :D gotta say first i love the forum!
my SCX10 Dingo kit, freshly built is powered by:
ezrun 60a ESC (water & dust proof, tested and proved that last weekend when taking it out for the first time)
ezrun 17.5t brushless sensorless (had this lying from another project, with the correct setting i can go extreme slow with very little cogging)
towardpro (yeah, it really states that) mg645 12$ servo (strong and cheap)
gt3b receiver, linked to my flysky 9x
