Intro and setup questions

Thanks for the heads up guys! So for those that went the direction of the kit, did you still replace the "upgraded" parts that came with it vs the RTR version?

The parts upgraded in the kit are quite good and there's not much need to upgrade those unless you want something with a specific look or are really going to abuse your rig.

For me, the HD gears, universal up front, stickier R35 tires, and aluminum shock pieces will definitely stay unless I bust them. I may change the links out but right now have no need to. And the axial IFD beadlocks will do for now but I'll likely pick up some aluminum beadlocks.

I already had a radio, MMP, and motor waiting to get it going.

See, that's the issue I'm having... no radio and I know there are things I'll want to upgrade as they break...

If you're not looking for an expensive radio or adding a receiver to a radio you already have, search the eBay or for sale section here for a takeout which can usually be had fairly cheap.

Added feature of the kit that's never noted is the benefit of putting it together yourself providing the knowledge of how the truck is assembled and works.
