What is your Crawler Stand? What do you use?

I don't have any pics but just take a coat hanger and bend it, run it through the front axle and hang it.

I use a set of these sweet rig stands that I got from Fubar Crawlers.

but for wrenching I mustly just prop it up on the tires.

I have three of these and am looking at getting a couple more for the new rigs. Fubar Makes some of the nicest stands and if great to deal with. Custom is what these are. Names and rig names on one side and RCC logo on the other.

I run the crap out of my stuff, then throw it in the pile till the next time I feel the urge. Unless I break something, then I'll scatter it all over the workbench for a week or two until half the screws are MIA, then scramble to put it back together a couple of hours before I need it. :ror:

I use a fast color spray paint can under the skid plate..... tires just off the bench and I have a ton of them. "thumbsup"

Ha!, nice one Sandblaster, I use E Maxx paddles too. They sit bang under the pumpkins and are fully adjustable for wheelbase variations!.

I use the foam packing from Dell computer boxes. Cut a few select pieces, tape em together and done! There's usually enough foam from one computer box for several "types" of stands. They work really great when working on the truck because i can stick allens, screwdrivers, and even pliers into the foam instead of placing (losing) them on the bench.

i use a reachargeable 12v battery i can use to pwoer my charger as a stand and it works great but now that i added another rig to the fleet i thing im gonna have to make some (today)

I use a 'Little Jack' adjustable lab jack stand with a piece of a mouse pad glued on the top and a 3" Lazy Suzan attached to the bottom.

Makes for a versatile tool.

I use something called hat brackets that my girlfriend made at work,
(and yes, they're all in use right now)

I can use them as pictured for our Traxxas stuff, but usually turn them upside down for our crawlers.
For flat bottomed vehicles like my Associateds and OFNAs, they work fine either way.

I'm going to make me some of these...also good for comps between runs to keep the tires off the ground when it's cold. (I've always found that tires stiffen up when you let them sit on the ground if it's a cold day...they stiffen up less if I keep them up off the ground)

maybe we can give each other some ideas here.

I've seen the little jackstands, and I made one out of PVC pipe.

It keeps the wheels off the ground and is nice to work on. It used to be for my T-maxx, but a little configuring of the pieces and it makes a good crawler stand.

It fits in my carry bag so the wheels are still not getting flat spots and allows for more room in the bottom of the bag...and it's cheap to make.

Fubar stands for display. Havent found a decently priced and functional maintenance stand for crawlers yet. I have a couple from my "Go Fast" days that are noce but too low for crawlers and most crawlers need something other than a flat spot to sit.
