What did you do today?

Finally got my hobby/ rc room set up in our new house. Still plenty of details to get ironed out but at least I have the basics up and running. Eventually I'll add some more shelves as well as signs, posters, etc.

Nice!

All my R/C sh*t is just strewn about the living room... "thumbsup"

Yeah I've seen some pics! I often miss the cool-factor of a smaller place that's just mine. Maybe that's partly why I'm fond of my hobby room... just my space where I can shut the door and work, think, decompress, etc. Thanks, man.

Oh, boy. That’s a little excess for just sliders.

My J10 has no doors. Just want to feel safer when 'wheeling. Also have some race seats and harnesses to install when the cage is done. If there's enough left after that's done, then I'll consider sliders.

Oh, yeah. 204’ should be enough for sliders, too.

I had a great day today! Spent the day with my dad watching The Ohio State Buckeyes and The Best Damn Band in the Land at the Shoe!

Got my 16yo’s VW going. Laundry list of DTCs looking like multiple things turned out to be a couple of bad grounds to body. LOL. Paid $1600 for it and parted out the wheels and exhaust are more than that.

Hers has the black wheels and an auto, mine has a 6speed. GX is the daily.

Acted as resident plumber / electrician and installed dish washing machine at my nieces place,,,,,, superuncle are a lot cheaper than a skilled guy, and yet his work are just as good,

O-H-I-O Go Buckeyes!

Last time I was in the horseshoe was in 1988 to see Pink Floyd! My folks were big Buckeye fans when I was a kid. Autumn weekends in central Ohio were very memorable... apple cider, fall colors, splitting firewood, OSU vs Michigan... great times.

jelly.
my hobby room look like a lost episode of Hoarders.

Thanks. Hopefully mine will look like an episode of Hoarders before too long. It still feels too sterile to me so it'll be nice when it achieves more of a "lived in" feel.

I'll bet that "super-uncle" plumber beats a "skilled guy" plumber in this case.

And speaking of home repair, this is what my wknd has consisted of so far...

Exterior garage lights were almost 20 yrs old and in really bad shape... so replaced em with these. After the install it kept bothering me that they were "tilted up" due to the angle of the siding so since I hadn't caulked them yet, I decided to go back in and make a couple of shims to put behind the brackets in order to level out the fixtures. Glad I took that extra step to do it right. Much nicer appearance imo and they illuminate the driveway much better than the old ones.

And a leaky faucet led to an absolute nightmare. Should've been a 30 minute job but wound up taking over 4 hours due to the amount of oxidation and the condition of the components. It made a traditional removal method a no-go. Had to actually resort to coming in from the top and pulling apart everything bit by bit. The final tool was a set of 450lb 18" bolt cutters. After that the rest of the job went pretty quickly and effortlessly.

The Shoe is an awesome place! This was actually my first time seeing the Buckeyes there. Only took me 48 years! Definitely will be going back next year!

I would have loved to see Pink Floyd there! The Delicate Sound of Thunder was one of my favorite tours!

The joys of home ownership! Always a job to do and never seems to end! Though I would not trade it for anything! Nice looking outside lights!

BTW, nice looking hobby room!"thumbsup"

I grew up on a farm in Delaware Co. Going down to Columbus was like taking a trip to a foreign country lol. OSU stadium was fascinating just due to it's size. In my teen years I was fascinated by other things which led to cruising High St. every weekend lol. I only saw one OSU home game and although I don't remember who they played, I still to this day remember the intensity of the band and the halftime show... absolutely mesmerizing.

Momentary Lapse of Reason was the tour that I saw at OSU. Monsters Of Rock in Indianapolis I think was the only concert that I ever saw that was bigger than that Floyd show.

Thanks, B... The house is coming along slowly but surely. Hopefully new toilets next week!

Put the finishing touches on my Star Wars Legion army. I still need to do the basing, but they are table ready. Just gotta finish the speeder bikes...
