What did you do to your TRX-4 today?

Bearings from Locked Up Rc came in for the stock portal housings.

Took the SSD portal brass off the rear and put the stock housings back on.

For those with RTR’s I highly recommend downloading the kit assembly manual. I looked up the bearings that went in the housing and ordered individual ones from LURC. Hard to beat.

I filled the shocks with 30wt all the way around.

Finally got a chance to try things out today.

Nice day to play.

That thing is crawling like a beast!!! Nice work bro! Nothing like a good slow crawl with a capable rig!

Thanks Animal!

It’s been fun! Going across my rock wall top is great. Being able to see how the truck is functioning at an elevated level is nice.

Crazy how much the mic on the phone amplifies sounds. You can hear the shv500 just squawking.

At that one transition between the rocks where the front tire started just dropping and dropping was great!! That’s exactly what I was going for with my long travel idea.

I found some new lines to try by placing the truck at certain starting points on the rocks. It’s all fun.

I really wish I had one of those awesome builds in the Capra section to try on my walls or better yet a comp rig. Would open up a whole new can of worms.

Great looking rig brother!!!! I really like it!!! That thing really has some articulation!

I started but have not finished removing the front diff locking unit and micro servo. I'm installing a LockedUp RC locker in the front. I'm in need of a channel in the RX and since I rarely unlock the front. It was time for it to go!!!

Working on getting these on the wheels too

This is why I need the channel on my Rx.

Dude!!!

That was awesome!!! Got a thumbs up from me!!!

Very very well balanced rig!!! It handled those sketchy off cambers beautifully!!!!

I was chuckling knowing that I would of been hearing lexan scraping in those spots. [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

Excellent job!

One question though.....how do I hear the crunching of leaves/gravel under the tires but the shv500 is dead quiet? Is that movie magic? [emoji16]

I finally got my truck out for its maiden voyage. 45/9 gearing with 2200mah 3s in up front battery tray. HW1080 with a Holmes Hobby Crawlmaster 12t, 4.35" Pitbull Braven Berserker Alien Kompound tires, and SSD steel wheels. I'm in South Florida with a lot of coral rock. These tires don't climb well on man made wooden obstacles, but on the rock these tires reign supreme.

I found out very quickly that I need weight up front. The battery isn't enough. Steep climbs were tough. My son brought his Wraith. That thing is "The King" out there.

LMAO!!! That was shot before I had the HH servo. No movie magic lol! Wish I knew how to remove certain sounds from videos. Thank you brother!! She finally crawls exactly like I've always wanted. It's very predictable now and crawls amazing.

Max-D, that thing looks great brotha!!! Gotta get you up here crawling with us one day.

Crawl lights are half way there! All chassis-mounted LED lighting. Better protection of the lighting system than body-mounted in my personal opinion. Spot lights are zip-tied into position, then Shoe Goo’d to secure.

MyTrickRC:
DG-1 controller
2- two inch light bars
8- spot lights

I really like that color scheme a lot!

I take it the coral bites pretty good. I’d love to be able to try rocks like that out.

Reading your post about the front battery tray gives me an idea. I have a heck of a time with my front unloading when going up.

If I got a front tray and place my packs there, hopefully that would help keep it down better.

Great looking rig!
