What did you do to your TRX-4 today?

More LEGO light buckets. This time, I added fog lights in the bumper. I’m a sucker for yellow fogs!

replaced my GPM (ebay) 9t pinion with a TRAXXAS 9t pinion to reduce the gear noise. GPM was VERY LOUD!!!! TRAXXAS noise is close to stock. good change in my opinion.

Swapped some Enduro axles underneath just for fun... Feel great on the bench, I was just goofing around but I think it's going to work out well.

I have a 9t Robinson and metal spur gear as well. Pretty loud also.

I might try the traxxas pinion and spur (9/45) like you did to quiet it down since I already have them.

That looks great!!!!

I saw your other post. Excellent job!

What stinger bumper is that? I have been looking at them since I’m currently no bumpers and I am only interested in stingers.

Using TRX4 parts on a GCMracing Delta Chassis D90 hardbody by RC4WD.
Now to work on the rear bumper mount. So far its turning out great.
Update based on TRX4 crossmembers/bumper mounts so much to finish.

Sweet!

That should work!

Tried it the other evening. One quick swipe and it cleaned up my sloppy dremmel cut. My cuts look like yours now. One would have to have small dykes or something to remove the rubber your melting out of the tire...if you just use the hot stick. I am fine with using two steps.

Excellent Jeff!!!

Yeah my dremel cuts aren’t great by any means.

Looks like I did them during a happy hour. [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

I designed and printed bumpers and rock sliders to fit the JConcepts F-150 crawler body I went with.

The rear bumper extension attaches to the TRX-6 bumper with skid plate.

These rock sliders are a new version I haven't tried out yet. My original design was more flimsy and only used 20% infill...and broke. So I went back and beefed up some supports, used 50% infill and designed them to hold the wide JConcepts body a bit closer towards the chassis.

I was originally using the Defender front bumper but it gets hung up a lot so I designed a new one. I tried to get the bumper as close to the chassis as possible while still looking like a bumper and having enough material to take some abuse.

Clearance with the front tires with suspension compressed.

I also made a front slide on body mount system. The front of the body slides onto the chassis mount and then I just use normal body clips for the stock TRX-4 Sport rear body mount to secure the body. So I still have to fiddle with body clips but fewer.

I also swapped the TQI radio out for one of my hacked FlySky GT3B radios. I just soldered in a new voltage regulator, calibrated the ESC and set servo end points tonight. "thumbsup" Anxious to try it out!

Working out the options. RC4WD mud flaps(cut out the center protion) with a low profile trx4 bumper? What do you think. Best i could come up with for now. Tape is holding up the mud flaps for mockup only.

I got my rear bumper today. It was for a rc4wd tf2. I used a front bumper mount flipped. It looks awesome in person, just wide enough. The body wasnt sitting straight in the last pic. I also plan to cut the hitch part thats hanging low

Found enough parts on eBay to “convert” my trx4 G500 to a Trx6. And now I have a slider lacking axles and shocks for another project.

If Traxxas isn’t going to build a kit, I decided I’d do it myself

Pardon the body, it’s just until the trx6 body turns up. Or I figure out something else.

installed a Holmes servo. i just dont know why all of the servos i have ever tried never have the horn centered when the electronics are centered as well. And i still need to figure out why the steering trim is different for reverse than forward.

The 3 that have been on my Trx4 have all been the same.

Stock, 3 Bro’s G13, and Holmes SHV 500 V3

Always off by 1 tooth to left or right.

So I set the horn one tooth towards passenger side and adjust steering trim for it to go straight.

If I set the horn one tooth to the drivers side it contacts the frame.

Not yet! Honestly, I got bored after only doing the two front tires. [emoji12] I'll finish ghem tonight and let you know if there's much improvement!
