Finally dove into the front end.
SSD brass, overdrive, aluminum steering knuckles and aluminum C hubs.
I want to experiment with long-er travel with a little lower than stock ride height.
I have similar adjustable mounts for the rear axle to go on also.
Once new aluminum lower panhard Mount shows up I’ll have a lot of testing on my rocks.
ETA - This is how much lower I can mount the shocks compared to stock. So my new longer shocks with stock ride height should
“Hopefully” work.
Eta2 - Got the rear done this morning as well.
I started messing with the 110mm Desert Lizard shocks this afternoon. A ton of tuning can be had with those shocks. Downside is tearing them apart to retune and the c-clips on the shafts.
This one I mocked up, just springs, compares to stock trx4 shock at rest.
Much much more droop than stock. I have the top of the piston sitting around halfway in the body.
Fitting the rears will be zero issues. Front may take some tinkering.
But I actually have the feeling that this may be a hair brained idea of mine that works. [emoji1787]
