What did you do to your TRX-4 today?

Flipped the front bumper mount, added a front mount to the rear and got the trailer working properly.

Wow thats nice. I cant imagine putting that much effort into a body. Especially seeing how fast ive scratched up my 2 week old sport body it :(

Thanks... much appreciated. The way that we've done it, any additional trail damage should only add to the "authenticity". Body is painted inside in layers... creating a slightly oxidized silver appearance. Then on the outside = primer/ undercoat/ body color. This way, any additional wear & tear will reveal a natural transition back down to the "bare metal". Blemishes also have more of a realistic 3-D depth due to the combined exterior/ interior layers. Was fairly time-consuming but worth it.

Have been saving my change for awhile to get a good servo. Finally had enough to get this bad boy on Monday. Can't wait to get it in my Trx!

Will be doing a review video of it as soon as I get the chance to get in the garage.

You should like it! I got mine put in last Thursday and am pleased with it.

My HH Puller V2 2700 showed up today and got it in. Just waiting for the battery to finish charging and try it out.

Should be quieter than the Revolver V2 2500 than it replaced. [emoji1787]

Finally dove into the front end.

SSD brass, overdrive, aluminum steering knuckles and aluminum C hubs.

I want to experiment with long-er travel with a little lower than stock ride height.

I have similar adjustable mounts for the rear axle to go on also.

Once new aluminum lower panhard Mount shows up I’ll have a lot of testing on my rocks.

ETA - This is how much lower I can mount the shocks compared to stock. So my new longer shocks with stock ride height should
“Hopefully” work.

Eta2 - Got the rear done this morning as well.

I started messing with the 110mm Desert Lizard shocks this afternoon. A ton of tuning can be had with those shocks. Downside is tearing them apart to retune and the c-clips on the shafts.

This one I mocked up, just springs, compares to stock trx4 shock at rest.

Much much more droop than stock. I have the top of the piston sitting around halfway in the body.

Fitting the rears will be zero issues. Front may take some tinkering.

But I actually have the feeling that this may be a hair brained idea of mine that works. [emoji1787]

It was 40°C heat wave and still is when i went for a walk with the K10. 21THH 550 brushed motor. reinstalled the 2sp transmission. A 9T pinion. Everything was really toasty warm that run. 6.87KMk (one way had to cab back to the camp site or i was going to be over doing it) highway style run thank to the local bike shop(Gearheads) for letting me in to cool down and refill my 2L hydro pack. And the trx4 enjoyed a cool down as well.

Same truck broke a portal gear last week; I have the feeling this happened at the same time. Glad these are cheap, but I will duplicate my sport kit and get a steel gear servo. And me some driving lessons.

I mounted a lc70 cab and designed the battery tray I’m going to be using

Not trx4 related but rc related.
Helped mom with the ax-10. She got the body mounted and learned how a small wheelbase adjustment can make a difference. Up next Different wheels and tires. Mom and dad chose to go with 1.9 GCMracing blanks and proline KM3s.

Have you thought about the tire mod ? Either small dykes or a sharp razor knife.
Yeah i have thought about it quite a lot but i haven't felt like i needed it yet. The way they are they seem to handle rocks and logs really well. I haven't done much dirt driving so maybe when i try that more i might do the mod..

I have 2 nearly identical rigs. I strictly slow crawl on rocks only. I was very impressed, they pull as well as the rock beasts in a comparison crawl.
