Over a couple days i installed a new steering servo, Castle BEC to provide 7.4V to steering servo, DIY BEC bypass wire, underdrive diff gears in rear, and a new(ish) crawler course (i had a large tree taken down on my property and they left the wood). Loving the Blazer except for the poor approach and even worse departure angles. have a few items on the way to fix that.

Don’t have any pics but I took the electronics trays of the used trx4 chassis kit I picked up along with the inner fenders and replaced them with sport shock towers that were included!

I am working on mounting a rc4wd mojave lwb body

Trx4 got new 9T pinion for testing. Replace the transmission case with a hot racing aluminum case(old one had a few wrong screws go through it) team Raffee aluminum motor plate. And 2sp gears are reinstalled since Bullhead project. Lockers not being reinstalled for now. Sticking with the spools at the moment.

Today I did Proline Hyrax’s and Gmade steelies.

Very pleased with the improvement.

I thought my cut Canyon Trails did good on my rock wall but these are great along with the added weight of the wheels.

A lot less rear end washing out but I still flopped her, just not as much.

Able to modify lines that I couldn’t even attempt before as well as dabbling in some hairy situations that were kind of controllable.

Hopefully this weekend I’ll get to installing the HH Trail Pro, Mamba X, 9/45 gearing and GRC 2 piece motor mount.

I went to the lhs to pick up paint and had a blue sport rtr follow me home. It’s going to be used for a lc70 build as soon as the body and mounts get here.

I also drew some lines and drilled some holes in a tf2 lwb body that I’m working on mounting to another trx4

Gramps,

That’s the stock color it came. It’s the RTR Sport.

Tell you what though, I wasn’t too keen on it at first but it hides scratches and gouges extremely well.

The body is carved up pretty good from flopping. [emoji1787]

I’m thinking about getting a nice barbecue body off eBay for Sunday outings or functions. Lol.

One of those hi metal flake jobs.

Today I installed the Holmes Trailmaster Pro, mamba x , rpp 9 tooth pinion with hot racing’s metal 45 tooth spur gear and grc’s 2 piece metal motor mount.

Not going to lie, I was really nervous about this.

Even though I’ve watched and rewatched countless YouTube videos regarding this, This newb was still out of his element.

I was amazed/floored at how the grc mount made the motor rock solid. Absolutely zero play. 100x better than stock or even traxxas mount that my buddy installed.

I programmed the mamba x verbatim to Holmes hobbies video on this. I have some tweaking to do regarding reverse but still awesome. I set up the aux wire for drag brake on rotary channel 5 of the fly sky radio.

Very very happy with the outcome. I wasn’t really sure about how the Trailmaster pro would do from a comment or 2 on here, my impression is old tech, but light years better than stock. So I can’t wait to drop a puller pro in this.

Had a blast testing this out. All of this and the new hyrax/steelies made a huge improvement.

Motor stayed cool the whole time running 3s.

Some pictures and videos from my home test walls.

I just got my TRX-4 yesterday. I thought I was being cheap by getting the $400 G500 (vs Bronco or Blazer) but the metallic blue is a much darker and richer color in person than what pictures show. I really like it.

Installed 90g portal covers on all 4 corners and a TRX-6 rear bumper. The front mounting holes had to be shaved a bit to fit.

Beadlocks with cheap Austar AX4020 tires that are way too small. I ordered a set of Pro-Line Hyrax tires and narrower wheel hubs today.
