What did you do to you SCX-10 today?

My narrow xr mod with non-splined beef tubes just wasnt as burls as I wanted, my chubs would twist, and my set screw style locker wouldnt clamp my axle shafts true so my diff gears would bind a bit, and my solid steel locker with the steel beef tubes were heavy. So I replaced my beef tubes with rcbros aluminium splined tubes, replaced my solid steel locker(cant remember who made it) with the hot racing aluminium set screw style locker. My front axle is now way better then before but I am not entirely happy with the hand planed xr10 shafts paired with the hot racing locker. I think the locker would be fine if it had normal shafts in it that arent cut. So since the shafts arent perfect the locker doesnt clamp evenly, also you have to drill some holes in the stock axle housing to tighten the locker set screws. I have also snapped 1 cut xr universal and twisted another, so cutting them in my situation seems to not work. I ordered a set of universals for the scx10 2 than I hope will fit and a incision locker to get rid of the set screw locker.

I just need to share my excitement, cause loosing all that weight up front has made my rig feel way better.

Also replaced my 1 piece robinson racing transmission outdrive with axial steel outdrives and hot racing lightweight gear. My robinson racing outdrive didnt have the pin through driveshaft mount, so I feel way better about that.
Finally made a rear 4 link truss with a sway bar mount and installed my sway bar, that I havent tested yet.
Also installed my supershafty hd motor plate

Started on a open front diff, rear trailing arm u4 style scx10 with way to much power. I

t's running stock g6 rtr axles with the stock tactic servo and a racers edge clamping servo horn. Rear suspension is boom racing yeti trailing arms mounted on the outside of the chassis with a hallow ball as a spacer on both ends. The front lowers are axial aluminum and the uppers front and rear are threaded rod with revo rod ends.

The transmission is a stock wraith trans with 22/50 gearing using a ntc3 spur gear, with a modified dig set up. Well it's missing the piece that locks the one output, so it's now a transfer case. The motor is a 2000kv Orion vortex8, and the servo is a cheap futaba. To get the pinion gear to clear the upper link mounts I had to put 8 washers underneath it and longer screws

Got rid of the huge wide rc3wd bumper. Made a high clearance narrow one out of aluminum. Powder coated gloss black. Now I can clear the new tires.

Fabbed a mounting plate in between the front shock hoops. Needed to get my winch controller up away from mud splash, it's bolted to the chassis so adds rigidity, provides a bit of wheel well, and have a ton more space for a separate winch/light battery

Will probably do some painting on it this off-season along with some updates.
