What are you working on??

I used to seal my tires/wheels completely. Then I vented through the tire. It conforms much better and if u happen to get water in there, it can drain out. Whereas if you only vent the wheel you will hold all that water forever.
I just made 2 small insisions on opposite ends of the tire, at the base of the tread. Very small so that it almost seals itself over.
Most of the "big to do's" on the forum seem to recommend this technique.

Worse case, you unmount and out a dab of epoxy on the inside of the holes

Everyone has their own way but I agree with Robert, the problem with venting the wheel is just what Robert said, the water has no way to escape once in there where as if you vent the tire the water will find its way out with a little bit of throttle. Again either way will work I just prefer the tire cause I've had too many foams rot out on me due to water sitting in the rim.

I ended up drilling holes in the CI foams and it worked great. I went for a little test drive and I really can see a huge difference! The iroks do not fold over at all on side hills or while turning, very impressed with them.

I didn't really like the back half of the tundra so I pretty much cut it all off and went in a new direction, I like this better so far.

I can't remember if I said it here or not, but you can use Traxxas slash driveshafts or for a more beefy one the original emaxx driveshafts. Not the huge newer ones. I forget the part number, but they work with no issues.
With both, I believe you have to drill out the end, as it has 2 flat spots. Works best with the pin through axle type. My memory escapes me as to the actual title.

I was having length problems. I have a wraith MIP on back but there's not much spline holding it. Did you lengthen the back or split the difference? I split the extra and had a hard time finding shafts long enough.
I'm goin to try using a wraith driveshaft, with really small tires geared down there shouldn't be to much force

I lengthened just the back. My wroncho is at 14 inch wb so I'm trying that driveshaft first. If that doesn't work rc4wd has long metal ones I'll look in to.

Had a chance to do some welding today. Back cage is almost done, have to weld in 1 more bar and weld a mounting tab on the front.
