well i got some changes done to the creeper , i rebuilt my shocks and put the springs internal on all 4 shocks ( 2 for droop 2 regular ) found some springs at ace hardware that were a bit softer than the creeper originals . i also found a set for the front internals that were comparable to losi whites . also changed the shock upper mounts , we will see how these changes affect the creepers ability . i have a comp today back out where we had the last one that was a bear , i have come to the conclusion that i am not going to be in the top three or maybe not in the top five so i am going to use the remainder of the spring season to test and tune my rig and get used to it's abilities and quirks . "thumbsup"

Nice lets us know how the springs do. I test and tune every time i crawl i feel like theirs always something but i think i have it this time. Go get em boss show them how paradox do!

thanks guys well we had the comp today ,i ended up either in7th or 8th place not sure . the courses were brutal to say the least , there were alot of very sharp turns with hard approach angles as well as a good amount of steep uphills on slick rock . the creeper did very well the new spring setup is almost perfect ( i may need to switch out shock pistons on the rear or thinner silicone. i ended up on my roof a couple times i had to take rollovers ( it was still a bit wet out so the dirt was almost mud ) .

Good job Sam, enjoy your comp's ours are over for the season already :x.

Good job Sam..thanks for the feed back on the spring set up too..I know mine works...Im glad to hear other reports back the same way.

yeah it worked pretty well for me , i just had to use a different spring because the ones that i had were to stiff . oh by the way i am going to have to get some of the tubes from you as i ripped both c-hub screws out on the front axle at the same time , and bent both trusses .

has anybody put bigger dia. screws in the c-hubs , i ripped out both of mine at the last comp (also bent the trusses on both sides )
Rut roah bent trusies thats not supposed to happen how in the world did you manage that? And messed up the c hub geez sounds like a bad fall or you got pissed and threw your rig lol. Not sure on the hubs post a pic of the damage.

Torque much? The amount of torque it would take to rip screws out like that is crazy. Tensil strength I could see it rip them out but torque pulling them out....are you like geared with an 11t sprocket running 4s? And I thought I was hard on parts....way to run it like you stole it!!!!"thumbsup"

Im trying to get enough SAI's cut for the team...then you wont need the bigger screws...you can temp it with some heavy zipties....or you may be able to glue an M3 flat nut inside the axle housing.

Ill find a pic of the ziptie fix..which does work.

Here they are...I used heavy 1/8" nylon ties on my rig.

yeah i remembered the zip tie fix at the comp , so i put two per side on the front and finished the comp . bad part is i didn't realize the screws had ripped out till after i finished the second course , i stopped in my pit area (the patch of dirt that my stuff was sitting on ) to check out my rig and put it down so i could go score keep or run time . guess that is a testimony to the setup "thumbsup"
