wow nice man!i might be interested in some to.im just building mine all custom frame..roll cage..built into one.lockers...55t motor with 2s lipo and eiger esc..

well like i posted earlier the 10x15x4 hub bearings were bad but i found another problem i guess the pin holes in the axles ( for the hexes) are just a little off ( to close to the hub ) so when you tightened the wheels up the hexes were pressing against the hubs and putting alot of pressure on the inner bearing so i found some different hexes for now that the slot in the back isn't as deep as the creeper hexes ( fixed that problem). we are having another comp this sat so i will see how it works now ( also drilled vent holes in the wheels so the tires weren't air filled balloons ) still need to move some electronics down lower to help with cg may also find a new home for the battery .
i got some new tires for my venom to and was wonderring to if i need to drill vent holes in my stock wheels?if so how many and where?im a newbe so please help me out im 55 got 7 nitros and now one venom custom frame im building now.id like it to be tops maybe later compeat a little i love this crawling!!!lots different than my speed deamons!!!!

The best thing to do at this point is to start a build thread of your own..post pics of what you have and ask questions etc all in one place....

on that note...one 1/8" hole in each wheel should work fine. drill them in the center of the wheels

thanks a million!!!i dont even no how to do pics yet but im gonna try...my rig is axialjeepteers green venom i just bought it now need to complete i think a pic is on pg 64 of his build?thanks agian ive been reading all info i can your build is next!mine has venom bottom end the frame roll bar assembly is made by axialjeepster he did real nice on it ...he builds custom parts and frames...

thanks guys . we didn't have our comp today the spillway was half under water ,so it will be another day . it is probably a good thing as in my rush to finish last night there was a few short cuts ( i need to get some more hardware ) m3 locknuts and some more allen hardware oh and some shock standoffs .

okay so while i was off work today i had the time to sit down and go back through my rig , earlier in the week i went by ace hardware and picked up a few things i needed . i replaced the problem hardware and changed the shock mounts with a different setup , now my rig is working like it should "thumbsup" . i ran out of time so i didn't get any pictures for now , our next comp is this sat also it will be the first time i have driven it since the change . oh i also made a slight modification to the spindles , i beveled the inner edge where it contacts the truss on the front axle ( didn't take much and i have almost full steering angle again ) . oh thomas when you read this i have a question for you on the btl plate there are two protrusions one on each side of the servo mount , could these be used to mount the upper links and get rid of the axle roll or would it interfere with the steering servo hitting the frame ?

Those tabs on the BTL plates are meant for people that dont have trusses on their axles...you can mount your uppers to it though...thats what they are there for...but you may run into some clearance issues...Im so used to the axle roll now that it doesnt bother me considering the gain I get from what causes it.

okay thanks thomas i am planning on leaving it the way it is for now , other than a body panel change .

well i ended up finishing in 8th place , mostly due to my driving today . i am going to have to firm up the front end a little , i may move the upper links up to the tabs on the servo mount . i may also put yellow springs up front along with some thicker fluid .

My upper links are on the btl tabs, no issues with clearance. I tried them on the axle but did'nt care for the axle roll.

okay i moved the upper links to the btl plate and i switched the front shock sprinjgs to the yellow losi's . our next comp is saturday , the course is sandstone and limestone covered in brushed concrete some of which has come off . we will see how it does with the changes .

well i ended up putting the creeper back they way it was , i still need to change the shocks to the way thomas has his . my comp last weekend didn't go that well but it was mostly due to me , i had a perfect run going on the first course but i ran out of time on the last gate , the first course was pretty good , but the last course was brutal and i let it get the better of me . gonna get some more practice time in this week maybe ( as time allows ).

on another note i finally finished the paint on my short course truck , gotta say i really like spaz stiks paints . i went with candy apple red and silver metallic backer , also used fastcolor black . here are some pics ( which don't due it any justice you can't see the depth of color or all the metal flake in it )
