Valreesio's SCX-10

Indeed. I dont want 2.2's. It looks to me that if I completely removed the bumper it would be able to do it. I may try just to see....I'd have to remove the lights though.

Glad your likn it.

Butseeing how it fits it does need a few changes. Maybe I'll do another one later on nowthat we've kinda done a test run.

Where's the frog?

So after I relocated my battery and electronics I found I needed some weight in the front tires. The problem I have ran into is I can only stuff 1.5 oz of lead into them. Do not get me wrong, it has made a noticeable difference, I am just wondering how those of you not running 2.2's stuffed any more in there. Here is what I got happening.

There must be a better way. Even if I cut these down I do not see how I can get much more let alone twice what I already am running inside of my tires. Maybe if I cut the insides of the foams out a bit . . . :???:

Today I finally got un-lazy for a few minutes and I drilled out the holes to mount the front bumper. Really missed one hole, but hey it happens. I am getting older.
Really liked the way it turned out. Big thanks to Evan03 for him making the bumper for me. "thumbsup" I ended up bending in the body guards as they were hampering my approach angle in front of the tires, but now they are much better. Notice the difference this bumper makes with the images on the computer in the background.

I hope tomorrow I will be able to get some pics of her in action. I am ready to put this bumper through her paces. Lil' B. has not been kind to anything yet. ;-)

your stinger isn't big enough.

My wife would disagree :flipoff:

In all seriousness (and not knowing if your being sarcastic or not) I am almost wishing I would have went another half inch or so higher. But in a couple roll over tests, it has done well. I also do not think it will roll forward very easily.

Oh and lets see a pic of your stinger so we can compare sizes . . . :lmao:

Been waiting to put together another video. Here is Lil' B. and her new friends. Enjoy.

I would say she was part submarine but she was doing more floating than submarine anything. Must be those boatsides that turned her into one.

Funny that it float, It mean that you need more metal parts to anchor it! ;) *for the wheel weight, if you can find Lead wire, you might be able to coil it inside the rim and end up with more weight than these blocky weight that have plenty of wasted space.

Yeah, I think that is going to be the best route to take. When I went back without the 2.2's it did not float. was really submarining then.

I am thinking of trying to find another material for the boatsides that is not quite so heavy. I like the way they function but I think that some kind of plastic might work as well, maybe a cutting board type material or something. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I stopped by a local instrument shop to pick up some zip ties today and started looking at the LEDs. I decided it is time to get my lights going again but the new bumper does not really allow for lights in its current form. So I decided to drill out the headlights and mount them there. I have a couple of questions. Do you guys run your lights in series (like axial did from the factory) or in parallel? What are the advantages, disadvantages, etc.?

Drilled the holes

Mounted with out a lense

mounted with a lense (still undecided)

New LEDs are really bright, but I need to find a way to focus them into a tighter beam.
