Mount looks sweet!

I thought the shifter was already mounted, what happened with that?

Had to make a little change:mrgreen:, plus we are building a center console to hold the turn brakes, race radio , shifter , and a few switches.

Any updates on these rigs?

Sorta off and on topic..... I am taking welding courses at the local community college starting January 11th, going to do their whole program to get certified in welding. Anyway, and sorry if it was said already, but what type of welding are you using for these builds? MIG or TIG or a little of both? It doesn't really look like MIG, but correct me if I am wrong. I am curious because if this is TIG, why did you choose to use TIG over MIG? Is it just easier or faster?

I can answer this for Bastard... He uses Tig almost exclusively... He doesn't even tack stuff together with Mig anymore. He likes all the welds to be the same and Tig is stronger anyway."thumbsup""thumbsup"

Tig is stronger anyway."thumbsup""thumbsup"

You had to go there. :ror: I wouldn't say that and I'm no engineer but I do know you can control how much heat goes into the weld way better with a TIG. We'll leave that pissing match for P4x4 though. :ror:

Updates are, well lots of the little things being mounted, seat belts, shock resi's are all done, gps, race radio, cut brakes, light bar adjusters turned out on the lathe drilled and tapped, moved the accusump, battery mount cut out, throttle pedal mounted, muffler mounted, engine skid braces in, sway bar arms bent and tabs tacked on the axle, etc... We have to move the alternator and the power steering so Bastard drew up some new brackets that we'll get cut. Started figuring out where to put everything else, compressor, fuel pump, accumulator, engine pcm, etc... Box full of stainless bends will be here this week, hopefully the merge collectors show up also so we can get started on the exhaust. Supposed to have my high steer arms this week also so we can get the ram mount all drawn up also. We gotta be gettin close casue we're running out of stuff to mount. "thumbsup"

So... You gonna have enough time to test this thing before KOH or you going in on hopes and prayers?

And can I tag along and watch you endo it?:flipoff:

I have been slacking on pics. Pretty long weekend took a fall friday night and blew out my knee and got some road rash and some bruises can't bend the knee much and hurts to do any thing. But will get some pics tomorrow and post them up"thumbsup"

Bumps and bruises too?

My ultimate goal is have it driving by 3rd week in Jan, that way we have a few weeks before the race to put some miles on it. Don't want to pull it on the trailer as it's first drive, that usually never works out well.

I already got that shit outta my system, not gonna go there again. It's time to start winning. 8)

Yep Left arm has some road rash, upper arm bruised hurts to move, left calf pulled and hurts to move, pulled groyne hurts to move, knee swollen pops and cracks when i move it just right.

I was jumping down from the forks of a skid steer (3-4 foot up) planteed my foot on some gravel foot slid then planted knee popped out side ways then I hit the asphalt.

Good luck with the knee. I hopped off my wall in my backyard and ended up blowing my ACL and broke 3 bones. It was a 5 foot hop...
