That's a glowing review, but I'd be just as happy if I won a truck. :ror:
It'll be interesting to see how this truck fares in the market long term. I, for one, and hopeful it lives up to the hype and takes more share away from Axial. Enough of that and it'll force them to give us something new.

I really have no idea if they are either, I just had a pile of them that they gave me at PLBTF so I figured I should bolt some stuff on :ror:
Special edition with Gold frame rails & white plastics.
IIRC they said the extra parts comes with it in the box.
The radio isn't that bad either for a RTR.
There's a lot of excitment from some of the members here on the SSD 'Trail King Truck' chassis, but the Element just seems like a much better value. [shrug]
And it's a whole rig of new design, not a re-hash of an SCX10.
I guess I'm not so hardcore...guys just wanna have fun. LOL
They are also introducing a line of batteries and motor options, a 5K mah compact 3s lipo pack, and a rebuildable motor. A 550 can motor fits no problem.

Plastic gears? Can’t hold up.......
If I remember my Slash buggy, 1/8 scale 2650/MM2 on 3s, a true beast, all I ran was plastic spurs, IF no pilot error they always lasted. I melted more than I ever stripped

Good plastic gears can hold up. Bad plastic gears or drivetrains with poor mesh won't last. The AX10 3-gear trans is notorious for munching plastic idler gears the first time out.

Point I was making is look at the teeth...... never an issue. That was caused by extreme power, traction and lousy clutch pads. I did them all even CF..... I ended up using a Traxxas brake pad as a clutch pad and change them out every 5 packs or so as they are dirt cheep.

I will add is after watching Josh on the video , no complaints about loose screws anywhere, I will get the three gear final set, but leave the stock metal upper small gears as is.
Wheel and axle hexes a must with metal balls. I’ll throw a set of inner fenders in the order. Outside of wanting to mirror the trans/motor and needing a new reversed shaft, not much more needed, although the cage out back looks great.

It reminds me of my old Tamiya DF03RA. It was indestructible except for its notorious plastic gears.

In buggy racing there is quite little forgiveness and sometimes high wheel speed to instant grip in a carpet track scenario. No one runs metal gears, and in 17.5 class it's common to cut gears to half their width to lessen rotational mass. I've only seen stripped spur gears, that is usually due to a loose screw on the motor, not the plastic.
These look very similar to the gears in my b6d gearbox, I don't think there will be an issue.
I once had someone tell me that they couldn't ride bicycles because the chains always snapped... I don't think it was the rider, I think it was the equipment, and more likely it was their equipment.

Does anyone have plans or gathering parts for an immediate custom build? I printed some "steel" beadlock wheels but I am torn on a body... I know I need steel wheels though. I was planning a 3d printed unimog landscaping/construction truck build for a trx4 but then this came out and doesn't have portals, which I am happy with, but ruins my plan! Kindof happy to have a RTR that doesn't look like the electronics will suck out of the box, even if I don't get to build a kit...

If it is like other Associated cars, this would be made in Taiwan. From what I understand, Taiwan is not affected by the tariff.
