A few little things has to be done like wiring the Led‘s and finishing the position lights

This weekend the Hilux will have it’s maiden run.
Since this is my first hardbody, it’s going to be a work in progress and will change over the time.

The battery tray is the first to change. I build one that is lengthways and not across.
For the interior i have to build some seats and, and, and....

Little conclusion on the Rig:
It performs surprisingy good and obviously it is total different experience in comparison to the VS4-10.

I‘ll try shorter shocks in the rear and relocate the battery. Maybe i cut the hood and place it somewhere under it.

I decided that this Rig is going to be my try and error, ongoing build Rig and since the maiden run beats it up pretty hard, i’ll start with the weathering.

Did some weathering with washes and more and use the scratches and dents he earned on his maiden run... it could be worse.

And i had to grind the outer fenders since the tires scratches, but it needs more on the rear section.
And since i have lost the glass from the right turn signal, i had to do something on this as well.

SSD panhard link for full travel

I have the double high clearance steering link set but may just use the panhard bar. Did you have to adjust anything to add this link?

ALSO I see you switched out the plastic pivot balls in that pic. Were the plastic ones binding your suspension? My front suspension seems to get "stuck" when compressed.

Thanks, and by the way, my build started looking remarkably similar to the initial plan you had lol.... I like the way you went though!

Nope, the SSD is P&P...

I had a bunch of Traxxas stuff laying around and install the pivots right from the start.
So i don‘t have a reference with the stock plastic ones.
The last few millimetres stuck here as well[emoji3166]

Do you have a build thread on yours?

Mine stick at fully compressed for a few mm. weird? I bet it’s the plastic pivot balls on mine as they’re a real tight fit.

Yeah my thread is “NOT a Truggy, my RBK build” a few threads down. There’s not much to see yet since I’m waiting over a month for my body.

Is the body just mounted with the 4 screws below the door? 2 on each side?

Also would like to see:
do you have any pictures of how you mounted the esc and receiver
