Okay so no action shots just yet, but finally done with the runner shell. Display shell will be the same with the exception of clear windows and drivers.
Rally cars! So this is where everyone comes to talk about their XV-01s. In a crawler forum, of all places. I like crawling but I was into rally cars long before crawlers. I've had a few. These are what I have now.
The body did not include any of the livery decals. It came with the HF logos, front and rear light decals, door handles, fuel caps and some hideous window decals that covered the unpainted windows.
Using Flexi-Sign Pro vector software, I made the stripes and new window trims and I found all of the logos on the web. I printed them on clear and white Oracal vinyls with a Mutoh VJ-1204.
The 2mm and 10mm offset Ride wheels with HPI Pirelli rally tires completed it.
I didn't mount the rearview mirrors or the snorkel because they'll just get torn-up when the truck rolls over. I might mount the snorkel if the truck turns out to be significantly more stable than I expected, but I'm going to give it a while to prove itself first.
I really like the way your Traxxas Rally looks. As if I don't have enough rally cars, I find myself tempted to get one and make it look like yours.
