RBX10, RYFT, Scale Rock Bouncer

Do you guys have any suggestions for beadlock wheels? I'd like to try and reuse the stock tires, but I'd like to keep about the same wheel width, which is about 40mm. I can't seem to find many 40mm offerings.

Most of Gear Head RC's EZ-Loc 2.2 wheels are 39.4mm wide, I have a set on my Bomber like these:

I like them because you can flip the wheel centers and alter the offsets, too.

Some styles are available in Delrin as well as aluminum (or a combination), and all have aluminum hubs - and they DO offer other offsets if you need them.

I got these but You'll have to shave down the brake caliber a little bit because they are thick. They are 44mm wide. And I used the stock tires as well. They are a low price but built very well. I have them on my Ryft and Bomber. They add a nice bit of weight down low too..."thumbsup"

I ended up going with some eBay wheels. They look pretty cool. They are only 35mm wide, but I didn't have much trouble installing them, and the tires don't look too narrow or anything.

Getting them dismounted from the plastic wheels was fun
... Used a heat gun to get the super glue to break down, and then soaked the tires in acetone for about 30 minutes each and the glue came off.

Here's the finished product: <a href="https://ibb.co/6mnRV2j"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/L8kzbMV/20220101-093700.jpg" alt="20220101-093700" border="0"></a>

Took it out around the yard yesterday. Haven't had a chance to go to a real trail yet. Got the Mamba X set up with the aux wire for crawler/rock race mode - very cool! Also installed some aluminum axle inserts front and rear. Locked up the center diff with a treal locker. I had to print some temporary adapters for the wheels, as the m5 nuts wouldn't fit inside the hubs on the wheels I got. Fortunately, SSD makes some aluminum hubs that will work. Overall, I like this rig a lot now!

If you look closely, behind the motor, you will see my 5000mah 3s sitting crossways in a custom battery tray.
I was wondering the same thing (ie. "where" the battery was)...but, after zooming in, to I see it. Nice job.

I got to take her out today, ran for about 5 min before I grenaded my servo. and ended my run. It performed great in those 5 min and was super stable compared to before.

She now eats hills for breakfast!

I went a slightly different route. I put my engine in the back. I have another engine on the way. I'm going to cut the fuel tank to fit the whole engine in it. Not just the top of it. That way it'll have the exhaust and everything. "thumbsup"

Nice, bit more predominant in the rear views.

Replaced the +15mm Exclusive scale headers with a set of the stock headers on my v8.
The +15 headers were a bit long and the links were bumping them on full compression. this will cure that issue.

The +15s are now on my V8 going into the Redneck Blazer.

With stock electronics?
Terrible. Open diffs and nonsensored motor makes it almost undriveable in rocks.

However a sensored brushless system and 3 lockers later and she does okay...

I can second this. I installed all 3 lockers and a sensored motor as well. It now does "ok" but its still no real "crawler".

What system did you guys put in your Ryft(s)?
I have an AXE HW 3300KV system that I was thinking of throwing in mine.
Thanks for any info in advance.

I run the rtr 2300 kv brushless in mine, and honestly its ballistic as it sits. So fast it is undriveable esp after locking up the diffs. Sway bar helps but its too fast for it own good, which is perfect

Im back with my 2nd Ryft, picked up a orange rtr that was a shop return, stripped out the electrics and fitted some I had in my Summit, a HH Puller Pro 4274 1900kv Smooth, Castle MMX, HH SHV800 servo. I’m just putting together a shopping list for some parts, I will need metal trailing arms, axle tubes and lockers for sure, ohh and nice set if beadlocks
