Penalties for theft are not severe enough imo. I really hope that you get it back or it was covered so that you can maybe replace it. Sorry to hear that.

It is a LTZ400, indybama. I replaced the head, cylinder, and piston last fall. Haven't even had a chance to ride it yet, other than a test run up and down the alley.

I could rant about work but I just turned in my 1 week notice Thursday so what's the point? Fawk 'em I'm moving on rather than being miserable. :D

Hey! I just put in my 2wk notice last Thursday... just a few days past my 10 year anniversary. "Miserable" and "infuriating" were two words that I used to describe it to the guys on my Jeep forum. It's a bit surreal right now and with having some good friends still there, somewhat bittersweet but my wife hates what she's seen that place do to me over the years so she's very happy right now.

Congrats and good luck!

Yea I realized a while back that I've been in a foul mood more often than not so I started paying attention to what caused it and it always came back to work. I've been there 7 years last month. I used to love the job, the hours sucked sometimes but it was still good. In the last 18 months it has gone down hill as the hours away from home have pretty much doubled and days off (like today) get screwed up by the customer I was delivering to not having the balls to call and say they were 3 hours behind. Instead they'll let us sit there wanking off. Fawk'm, my new job is 4-10's 6-4:30 and it pays about $30 more a week than I make now for the first 90 days then kicks up to about $200 more a week with OT available whenever I want it. I'm over killing myself to make a living.

What is your new adventure?

Damn... That's great to hear. I really hope that your new gig works out.

I dunno at the moment. I've never left a job without securing a new one but this time was different. She wants me to retire although I've been working since I was 14 and it's pretty tough to just stop after 35+ years. We'll see what happens. I hate to say it but I'm sure not the ass-kicking dude I was when I was in my 20's.

At my work we're working on getting some replacement cabinet doors for our customer but the company we're working with are being super combative.

The door should have a matte sheen but it has a gloss finish instead and they claim that the paperwork says its the correct sheen therefore is must be matte. They also said that the matte finish "off gasses and changes to a matte over time" their engineer even said so.

What a load of BS! I've never seen a wood finish change sheen over time but if anyone has seen this before let me know.

Well we called them back and talked to the same person who finally said "ok we'll send a replacement" was that so hard? These guys are the worst, even the rep is just as unhelpful. Good riddance we will no longer be selling this product!

Thanks for the feedback Mike

"BUILD"

I honestly believe that the new kids coming into this hobby need as much support and encouragement as possible, they are the next generation and are what will keep the hobby going. Today's new kid is tomorrow's expert.

However...
It makes my eye twitch when someone posts up a picture of a RTR sitting on the bench, and asks what else they should do to their "build" (other than take it out of the box).

only starts with an idea, then some spending, then some fiddling, cussing, "I wanna sell it all" mood, halfway mark, more spending, redesign, starting over, then finally reaching a finish.

I don't even consider kits with kit parts being used "builds". I'm not saying everything needs to be a one off either..

Good point...

Neither one knows shit.. Bosses GF makes her own schedule. comes in whenever. does whatever.
scheduler (bosses x-sis in law) kid knows nothing so does nothing and passes it off.
To me.
Bosses GF knows nothing, passes it off to me..
Bosses GF cousin now works in office helping scheduling..
Sales office, all related one way or another....
