Rant Thread

^^^^

I’ve seen a guy using a cutting torch to cut off the bolts to a leaf spring on the gas tank side of a late model 1/2 ton truck, didn’t ask if it had gas I just left the garage thinking if I leave now I’ll be out of danger.

My rant for the day. Spend years staying away from behind semis to avoid ****ing rocks and then get this from one kicked up by a damn van.

With a bug in it, yes it does. You not liking it means there is more for me. "thumbsup"

with or withought, it sucks. the best ipa I ever had was actually from cali. had the speed racer number on it. cant remember the name. it was damn good. haven't had a drink in about a year almost now.

Great, now in addition to everything else, I have to worry about catching berpes.
that's an exercise lol. 1 push up and a jump.

I like long mudflaps. not only saves my paint, but the drivers windshield behind me.

Not really a rant, but I occasionally get a good laugh at web ads that claim a particular quantity of things in my area. I live in a small town with barely a thousand people in it. Claiming that there are hundreds of any one very specific type of person close to me is highly suspect. Nice try though.

I had a bee slip into my unattended Rockstar this afternoon. I upended the can to dump what little was left into my mouth and got the bee as a bonus. It's happened before, but I've always been able to spit it all out without much drama. Not today. Bastard got me on the underside of my tongue on his way out.

Of course there were no tweezers in the shops first aid kit, so I had to dig the stinger out with the pointy end of a splinter remover. Fun times.

Had that happen to me last year with a can of Arnold Palmer Lemonade/ Iced Tea, bastard got me on the inside of the lip where I put my dip. Fortunately I was at work (PW), so went to the closest firehouse and an EMT got it out. Put another dip in and numbed it the rest of the day. "thumbsup"

Racer 5 IPA from Bear Republic brewing maybe? Now I have to track that one down, since I was big into Speedracer as a kid. Not sure I can find it out here in podunk east coast though.

The pale ale isn't my favorite, but I do like the Sierra Nevada torpedo and some of the seasonal brews. Congrats on being alcohol free man. I drink occasionally, maybe a six pack a week or so.

That's a burpee. Apparently berpes are new disease spread by kamikaze yellow jackets that hide in your beer waiting to ambush you.

Minor food rant...

I made deep fired chicken tenders last night. The batter had good flavor and crunch. The chicken was nice and moist (I marinated it in buttermilk for an hour prior to dredging). However... The damn breading would not stay attached to the chicken! They came out of the oil fine and in one piece, but, as soon as you cut into them, the breading would come right off. Very annoying...

Did you pat them dry with paper towels from the buttermilk bath before dredging? If not, try that. That layer of buttermilk didn't let the flour stick to the meat.

I read something to that effect and may try that next time. I want to stick with the buttermilk bath, as the chicken came out really moist.

I haven't had one done in 3-4 years, but the last one I had done cost me $0.

Thanks, skinny, that makes me feel much better! :)

NC is a very over-governed state. Insurance is regulated as far as policy limitations, premiums, etc. I had a hard time getting motorcycle insurance because my preferred carrier (USAA) isn't even allowed to cover bikes here...they had to refer me to a sub-contractor. Forget about zero glass deductible coverage here.
