Project Zeus: Cycon's Steven Eugenio Trophy Truck Build

I want to build one of these so bad, but I don't have a workshop(or garage...or shed), and I'm not too keen on welding in my house, lol...

Yeah man these trucks are a blast, really fun projects. You need a good space though, have an unfinished basement?

No I don't :( I just moved into a different house, and it lacks such things. I sent you a PM about 'em, if the forum didn't eat it(I'm still a new member, so posting gets a little weird).

Ok gotcha. Just saw your message, so it did send. I'll reply to it in a little.

You can pick up a 110 volt Mig welder fairly cheap. Wouldn't need a dedicated space to weld at, could use your driveway on nice days and bring the welder back inside when you were finished.

Gotta admit, this build along with the Herbst trophy truck are making me want to build a speed basher. So many options, and great body styling..

Haha thanks.... but mine is still Nothing compared to his...

I don't want to weld in my kitchen, lol. It's not the tools, it's the place for them that's my issue.

Hi man, I am following this build too as the Baldwin one on Traxxas forum. Following on youtube and Facebook... I have a question that I was searching for an answer on the threads... it might escape me but since rc4wd has stopped long time ago to make those really nice solid axles what other options are there? Axial is not a good option imho. Any others? Thanks and keep up the excellent work!

That's cool, thanks. To answer your question, sadly there aren't many options. The only one wide enough is the wraith axle, so until someone comes out with a better option that's it.

You have GCM out of Canada, who builds a very nice piece, the Metal Head, but they aren't cheap. They will make whatever width you want, up to double long axle Wraith, and will locate the trailing arm mounts wherever you want them as well, all at an additional cost of course. They are all custom order. Chris is the guy I have been in contact with over there. Its a traditional looking rear end, so if the Tubeworks look is what you want, this is not your part. Check them out on Youtube, looks like they manufacture a quality part. RC4WD needs to get on the ball and make them again.

just read through the whole thread trying to establish shock specs. would you be kind enough to share what oils you use in your shocks? id love my yeti to handle just like this. nice n soft and reactive :)

Most Beautiful trucks. realism is my favourite aspect of RC by far!

Thanks buddy. I get this asked all the time. The main reason it's so plush because it weighs 11 bls. Not sure on the rtr weight of a yeti but it's going to be harder to get the same look. Sure you could go lighter on the fluids but it won't jump well. I run between 30-45 in mine.
